air residences Overview

You know what caught me off guard about Air Residences? I was expecting another generic serviced apartment setup, but this place actually feels like someone thought about how people really want to live when they’re in Makati for more than a few days. The four-star rating is pretty spot-on – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in town, but honestly, it gets the important stuff right.

Being on the 39th floor of Tower 1, you’re going to get some serious views, and I mean that in the best way possible. The elevator ride takes forever (classic Manila high-rise problem), but once you’re up there looking out over the Makati skyline, it’s worth the wait. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets up there – you know how crazy the street noise can be in this part of the city, especially around Malugay where there’s always construction or traffic drama happening. Up here though, you actually get some peace. The apartments themselves feel more like actual homes than hotel rooms, which is refreshing when you’ve been bouncing between cramped business hotels. The kitchenettes are properly equipped too – not just a mini fridge and a prayer, but actual cooking space if you want to grab ingredients from the Salcedo Market on weekends.

Here’s the thing about the location that most people don’t realize until they’re here – you’re close enough to walk to the main Ayala business district when the weather cooperates, but far enough away that you’re not dealing with all the weekend mall crowds. The building management is pretty solid too; I never had issues with the AC or hot water, which honestly can be hit or miss in Manila. Check-in was straightforward, though like most places here, having your booking confirmation ready on your phone speeds things up. The 7.2 rating makes sense to me – it’s definitely above average and does what it promises, but there are some rough edges. The WiFi can get sluggish during peak hours, and the building’s parking situation is typical Manila chaos if you’re driving. But for the price point and what you get, especially if you’re staying for a week or more, it’s actually a pretty smart choice. The staff knows the neighborhood well too, so don’t hesitate to ask them about the best places to grab coffee or where to catch a jeepney – they’ll steer you in the right direction.

Reviews of air residences

  • Exceptional – Kees from Philippines – August 12, 2025 (10/10)

  • Exceptional – Ericka from United Arab Emirates – August 5, 2025 (10/10)

  • Could not recommend it, some efforts are needed to improve a minimum. – Apollinaire from France – August 3, 2025 (1/10)

I knew already the residence so no surprise. Good location and correct for the price even if crowded place.

What could be improved: Should have 2 beds (one bed + one convertible sofa) but we discovered it was not true after arrival. Only one bed so it was a major concern since we were 3. Owner just replied that it was broken lately.
Also nothing provided, not even any soap for handwashing or shower, no toilet paper, nothing…
    Could be also more clean.
Last details : noisy (but I think that’s the case for all the residence) and curtains are a bit short to cover the window entirely.
    Bad experience.

  • Very Good – Bianca from Philippines – June 29, 2025 (8/10)

What could be improved: No cooking appliance – only rice cooker was provided
