I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Alea Residences on that quiet stretch of Las Piñas – Talaba Diversion Road, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The area’s got this interesting mix of residential neighborhoods and developing commercial spots, and you know what? That actually works in the hotel’s favor. You’re tucked away from the typical Manila chaos, but still close enough to everything that matters.

What really struck me about this four-star place is how they’ve managed to create something that feels more like upscale apartment living than your typical hotel experience. The residences – and I mean, they really do feel like residences – are spacious in a way that’s genuinely surprising. I’m talking about rooms where you can actually spread out your stuff without playing Tetris with your luggage. The kitchenettes aren’t just for show either; I actually used mine for more than just storing leftover takeout from nearby Alabang. There’s something refreshing about being able to make your morning coffee without having to get dressed and hunt down the lobby café.

The staff here gets it – they strike that perfect balance between being helpful and not hovering. Check-in was smooth, parking‘s actually not a nightmare (which, if you’ve driven around Manila, you know is no small thing), and the building itself has this clean, contemporary vibe without feeling sterile. What I really appreciated were the little touches that show someone’s actually thinking about what travelers need. The Wi-Fi doesn’t drop out every ten minutes, the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a freight train, and honestly, the beds are properly comfortable – not too soft, not too firm, just right for actually getting some sleep. The location works particularly well if you’re doing business in the Alabang area or need easy access to the airport without being right in the flight path noise. It’s one of those spots where you can actually hear yourself think, but you’re not stranded in the middle of nowhere. I found myself walking around the neighborhood in the evenings, and it’s got that genuine local feel – small eateries, convenience stores, the kind of places where you can grab a proper meal without paying hotel restaurant prices. The 8.9 rating this place has earned makes total sense once you’ve stayed here a night or two.
