I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to ART’s Nest at Shore Residences on Sunrise Drive, I wasn’t expecting much from what looked like just another residential tower in Pasay. But you know what? Sometimes the best finds are hiding in plain sight, and this four-star gem totally caught me off guard in the best way possible.

The thing about staying here is that you’re getting this really authentic Manila experience without the tourist trap feel. I mean, you’re literally in a residential building where actual locals live, so you get to see how real Manila works – kids heading to school in the morning, families coming back from the markets, that sort of everyday rhythm you miss when you’re stuck in some sterile hotel district. The unit I stayed in (D310, actually) had this amazing view that stretched all the way to the bay, especially gorgeous during sunset when the whole sky just lights up orange and pink. The space itself feels more like a friend’s well-appointed apartment than a hotel room – there’s a proper kitchen if you want to cook (and honestly, with all the fresh seafood you can get nearby, why wouldn’t you?), plus enough room to actually spread out your stuff instead of living out of a suitcase.

What really sold me on this place was how the owner clearly gets what travelers actually need. The WiFi is solid – I was working remotely part of my stay and never had issues with video calls. The air conditioning works like a dream, which, let me tell you, is crucial when Manila’s humidity hits. And the building security is no joke; you need key card access to get up to the floors, so I felt completely safe even coming back late after exploring the night markets. The location is actually pretty brilliant once you figure it out – you’re close enough to catch a quick ride to all the main attractions, but far enough from the chaos that you can actually sleep at night. I loved being able to walk down to the little local eateries in the morning for proper Filipino breakfast instead of overpriced hotel food. The building has decent parking too, if you’re brave enough to rent a car in Manila traffic (though honestly, just use Grab – it’s so much easier). My only tiny complaint? The elevator can be a bit slow during peak hours when all the residents are coming and going, but that’s such a minor thing when everything else works so well. This place has earned its 8.7 rating honestly – it’s that sweet spot where you get real comfort and authenticity without breaking the bank.

  Location is good / great as it is well within walking distance to asia mall and many great stores and restaurants in close proximity. Great customer support by the host and caretaker even if there were some technical problems at the start.

  What could be improved: There were some technical problems and the reception but the unit AC worked just fine. The bed was a bit stiff and if you are taller than 195cm you might feel cramped in the room.

  Cozy and clean. Walking distance to the mall and restaurants. Complete dining and kitchen tools and utensils. Pls add soup bowls. Host is very responsive. Air-conditioning is very good. Shower hot water is ok they even supplied shampoo. Pls add floor towel.
  
  What could be improved: I think admin of the whole building should seriously take care of the cockroaches. The unit is very clean but there are small roaches crawling on the wall even inside the elevator and hallways.

  The place is perfect. The unit is clean, cozy, can cook. (for those in workcation like us) Wifi is good for working too and didnt encounter any issue. Walking distance to Mall of Asia, and has lot establishment that you can visit around.

  What could be improved: Issues encountered are more on the building itself. Took a long time checking in because there were a lot of people in the lobby. And there’s a small issue with the smell inside the unit, not a big deal for me tho since there are alot of deodorizers provided. So kudos to that!
