Located right in Newport City (which, if you don’t know the area, is basically this massive integrated resort complex), it’s one of those spots that works whether you’re catching an early flight or actually want to enjoy Manila without dealing with the city’s notorious traffic.

The thing that struck me right away was how quiet it is for being so close to NAIA – I mean, you’re literally minutes from the terminals, but the sound insulation is genuinely impressive. The condotel setup means you get more space than your typical hotel room, with actual kitchen facilities that come in handy if you’re doing that thing where you buy too much food at the nearby Resorts World complex (guilty as charged). Speaking of which, having Newport Mall and all those restaurants within walking distance is honestly a game-changer. You know how most airport hotels leave you stranded with overpriced room service? Not the case here. I found myself wandering over to the casino area – not to gamble, just because the whole Newport development is surprisingly well-designed for an evening stroll.

What I really appreciated was the practical stuff that travel blogs never mention. The elevators are fast, the Wi-Fi actually works throughout the building, and the front desk staff genuinely seem to know what they’re doing when it comes to flight schedules and transportation. The pool area isn’t huge, but it’s peaceful and gets good afternoon light if you’re into that sort of thing. And here’s something specific – if you’re planning to explore Manila proper, the hotel’s location puts you in this sweet spot where you can easily grab a taxi to Makati or BGC without starting from the absolute chaos of the main city center. The shuttle service to the airport terminals runs frequently enough that you don’t have to stress about timing, which, let’s face it, is half the reason you’d book an airport hotel anyway. It’s definitely become my go-to spot for Manila layovers or when I want to be close to the action without being overwhelmed by it.

  Great location and very good facilties.
  
  What could be improved: Lack of communication from property owner. Did not get acknowledgement/reply from queries and the phone number provided was unreachable. Even Booking.com itself could not get in touch with the property owner.

  What could be improved: The bed sheets are old, towels old (but clean), the staff either didn't understand English or their mind is not functioning at a normal speed – I had to repeat sentences multiple times to get an answer.
  
  There were bugs also in the room, near the window, strange lock and chain on the door leading to… the balcony? I never found that out, the blinds were interesting also so I preferred to not touch.
  
  It needs a refurbishment urgently.
  
  I wouldn't recommend it to someone with high expectations.

  The unit 2C was completely furnished and very comfortable with a great location for flying out of NAIA Terminal 3.
  
  What could be improved: Communication with the host was unreliable. Host confirmed my check-in time but when I got there, the receptionist didn't have a clue about my booking. Had to wait an hour until someone came. The phone number provided didn't work. Messaging on booking.com was unanswered until after I've checked out the following day.

  The apartment is very beautiful and clean. It's also a 5 minute walk to Newport mall. There's a lot of restaurants and supermarkets close by. The location is perfect. I did a layover in Philippines. The host was gracious enough to allow me to check in early as I was checking out the same night.
  
  What could be improved: I wish there were handwash available and a better bath soap available. It was the tiniest soap bar I've ever seen lol. Also, maybe have tea bags available in the room. There's also no iron if you need to press your clothing. I had some other minor issues, but the host quickly resolved them for me.
