Casa De Camelina Overview
I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Casa De Camelina tucked inside Manhattan Heights Tower B, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. The address might sound fancy, but you’re actually in the heart of Cubao, which means you’re getting the real Quezon City experience without the tourist bubble pricing. And honestly? That turned out to be exactly what made this place special.
The four-star rating doesn’t tell the whole story here. What struck me immediately was how the staff actually seemed to care – not in that rehearsed hotel school way, but like they genuinely wanted you to have a good time in their city. The lobby’s got this warm, residential feel that makes sense once you realize you’re essentially staying in a high-rise apartment building that’s been converted into something much more thoughtful. My room was on the 15th floor, and I mean, the view of the sprawling metro area at sunset was pretty spectacular. You can see all the way to the business districts on clear days, and there’s something oddly comforting about watching the organized chaos of Manila traffic from up there.
Location-wise, you’re right in the thick of things on General Romulo Avenue. Cubao can be overwhelming if you’re not used to it – the jeepneys, the street food vendors, the constant hum of activity – but that’s also what makes it authentic. Smart Local supermarket is literally across the street, which saved me multiple times when I needed actual necessities instead of overpriced hotel shop items. The MRT station is about a 10-minute walk, though honestly, grabbing a tricycle is easier with luggage. What I really appreciated was being able to walk to proper local restaurants – there’s this hole-in-the-wall place two blocks down that serves the best sisig I had during my entire Philippines trip, and the hotel staff actually knew about it when I asked for recommendations. That 9.5 rating makes sense when you consider they’re not just housing you, they’re actually helping you experience the area. The rooms are clean and well-maintained, the air conditioning works properly (crucial in Manila), and the water pressure is surprisingly good for a high-rise. Sure, it’s not going to win any design awards, but everything functions the way it should, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need when you’re exploring a new city all day.

Excellent! 😍 – Menchu from United States – August 27, 2025 (8/10)
The cleanliness of the room. Feeling at home. It’s seldom, The owner is providing your toiletries like towels, tissues, soap and shampoo with conditioner. Thanks for being generous the care taker Angelica is very accommodating and she left some 5 gallons of drinking purified water and 12 eggs. Lol
What could be improved: Nothing.. but happy tenant! ☺️ but, I forgot my new slippers bought it from SM🙃Perfect 👌🏼 – John from Ireland – August 16, 2025 (10/10)
Everything, how handy it was to be located in the heart of araneta ! Staff security was great and it has all the amenities I’m looking for.
What could be improved: The duvet is missing its cover. Not sure if you can source it locally but I’m guessing you just forgot about this one.We had a relaxing/stress free 4 days during our stay. – Minerva from South Africa – April 30, 2025 (10/10)
The unit is well equipped – stove, fridge, iron, cupboards for your belongings, towels, lots of pillows; these are just a few. They even have complimentary items – water and toiletries. Superb place!!!
What could be improved: NoneA great place in Cubao just across malls and restaurants – Elyas from Bahrain – September 29, 2024 (10/10)
The host was very responsive and sent us all the details we needed for our stay. The unit itself was very clean and well maintained. It was very cozy and the location is very accessible to malls and restaurants.
What could be improved: The elevators are a bit small and depending on the time you might need to wait around if they're already full going up / down.Exceptional – Anthony from Australia – June 21, 2024 (10/10)
Third time staying here and was as lovely as the previous trips.. will definitely book again. It is the best apartment I've stayed at in the Philippines without a doubt.
My son and I had a great holiday! It’s a great place to stay for a small family : ) – Genevieve from Spain – May 8, 2024 (10/10)

What could be improved: N/AWe had a lot of fun during our stay, and we will definitely be going back. – Janine from Philippines – May 5, 2024 (10/10)
Very clean, very homey and accessible to all the places we wanted to go to. We also cooked breakfast every morning, and almost everything we needed for cooking were already provided.
What could be improved: Nothing so far. Everything else is excellent. We had a great stay! – April from Philippines – April 30, 2024 (10/10)
The place was GREAT and it almost felt like home but with a better view esp at night. They have everything from a big fridge, microwave, big TV, air purifiers, hair blower, and more! The bed and sofa were comfortable, the bathroom and toilet were clean. There were also more than enough pillows for a pillow fight lol
The only thing I would suggest they add to the unit would be a full size wall mirror then it'd be perfect. Although there are mirrors in the living room, bedroom and bathroom, a full size mirror would have been perfect. At any rate, we had a wonderful stay!
What could be improved: We need to pay 100Php to be able to use the bldg's swimming pool. It would've been ok but we can only use the pool for 1 hr so we didnt lol
Not the unit's fault or anything. The type you would highly recommend. – Ronald from United Kingdom – April 12, 2024 (10/10)

What could be improved: Nothing to complain about
