Citadines Roces Quezon City Overview

You know what caught me off guard about Citadines Roces Quezon City? It’s this surprisingly polished four-star aparthotel tucked away on Don A. Roces Avenue that honestly feels like it belongs in Makati rather than this corner of Quezon City. I mean, QC gets a bad rap sometimes for being all sprawl and traffic, but this place sits in this sweet spot in Obrero where you’re actually close to everything without being right in the madness of EDSA.

The whole setup is pretty clever – they’ve gone for this extended-stay concept with proper kitchenettes in every room, which is brilliant if you’re staying more than a few nights or just tired of eating out every meal in Manila (and let’s be honest, your stomach will thank you for the break). The rooms are clean and modern in that minimalist way that actually works – nothing fancy, but everything functions properly, which is more than I can say for some hotels in this price range. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night, even though you’re on a fairly busy avenue. They must have decent soundproofing because I barely heard the jeepneys and tricycles that are constantly buzzing around during the day.

The location is actually quite smart when you think about it – you’re walking distance to some solid local eateries along Roces Avenue, and it’s an easy grab to either Timog Avenue or the Quezon Avenue area when you want more dining options. The staff seem to get that most guests are either business travelers or families doing the extended stay thing, so they’re pretty helpful with practical stuff like where to buy groceries or how to get a decent taxi (which, let’s face it, can be hit or miss in this part of the metro). Parking is straightforward too, which anyone who’s driven around Manila will tell you is not something to take lightly. I’d say the 8.8 rating makes sense – it’s not going to blow you away with luxury, but it delivers on what it promises without any unpleasant surprises. If you need a reliable base in QC that won’t break the bank but still feels professional enough for work trips, this one’s worth considering.

Reviews of Citadines Roces Quezon City

  • Exceptional – Bradley from Australia – September 12, 2025 (10/10)

Staff are so helpful and nice breakfast buffet was so appealing and great.

  • Worth it for a wedding prep – Mariano from Qatar – September 3, 2025 (9/10)

We booked this hotel for wedding prep but we decided to make it 3D2N. It was worth it, they were very accommodating and the receptionist had a good attitude and welcoming aura.

What could be improved: On our 2nd day, morning of our wedding prep… The AC in the living room was leaking for 30 minutes. The maintenance took rather longer than expected.

  • Love it! – Pitchy-ann from United Kingdom – August 19, 2025 (9/10)

Fabulous hotel, smells amazing! Very clean pool and staff are friendly. Very good breakfast. Would definitely stay here again when I’m in Manila.

What could be improved: I like the food for buffet breakfast but i kinda did'nt want that they serve the same meal every day.

  • Friendly neighborhood hotel for holidays and families – Emmanuel from Malaysia – June 21, 2025 (8/10)

Great value; comfortable and cozy room; electrical outlets bedside; Alejo restaurant food and service; seamless check-in and check-out; security and safety; in-room massage service

What could be improved: Unstable wi-fi is not ideal for digital nomads or workcations.

  • It was a wonderful stay. Will surely comeback with my family. – Ma from Philippines – June 12, 2025 (10/10)

    Huge room and very clean

  • Exceptional – Mary from Philippines – June 7, 2025 (10/10)

    Beautiful and clean unit

  • Clean, comfortable and great staff – Amjed from New Zealand – June 6, 2025 (8/10)

The staff were all amazing and very welcoming. The breakfast was very good. Tried dinner twice and it was excellent. They cooked the best salmon sinigang. Rooms were comfortable except the bright green light in the ceiling that stays on all night.

What could be improved: It is abit far from Makati and the airport.
The bright green light in the ceiling that stays on all night which disturbed my sleep but i know it needs to be on always. Also room cleaning staff cleaned the room but forgot to put towels or coffee and tea in. But that was dealt with by the staff.

  • The small things – Maisa from United States – May 29, 2025 (10/10)

The facility was up to date and eco-friendly. The staff were very friendly and accommodating whenever I needed anything. It was a comfortable stay in a lovely room with a great view, a breakfast buffet available every morning. The coffee was amazing.

What could be improved: As a foreigner coming to visit from another country, we are used to commodities like toilet paper to be available without having to ask ir to worry about running out. There was never any backup in the cabinet. Wash cloths are also not available.
