Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Shore Residences MOA, I wasn’t expecting much from what looked like another high-rise apartment building. But you know what? This place actually surprised me in the best way possible. The location on Sunrise Drive is pretty brilliant if you’re planning to spend time at the Mall of Asia complex, and I mean literally brilliant – you can walk there in about five minutes without dealing with Manila’s notorious traffic.

What really struck me about this four-star property is how it feels more like staying in a friend’s upscale apartment than a traditional hotel. The units are genuinely spacious (not that fake spacious you get in some Manila hotels), and honestly, the kitchen setup saved me a fortune on room service. I actually ended up cooking a few meals because the nearby SM Hypermarket made it ridiculously easy to grab fresh ingredients. The views from the higher floors are something else too – you get this sweeping look across Manila Bay that’s particularly stunning during sunset, though I’d recommend requesting a room facing the bay side because the city-facing rooms can get a bit noisy with all the construction happening in Pasay these days.

Here’s the thing that most reviews won’t tell you: the building shares space with actual residents, so it has this lived-in feel that I found oddly comforting. The elevators can get crowded during rush hours (around 7-8 AM and 6-7 PM), but that’s a small price to pay for the amenities you get access to. The rooftop area is where this place really shines – there’s a decent pool that’s rarely overcrowded, and the gym equipment is actually maintained properly, unlike some places I’ve stayed. The staff genuinely seems to care about getting things right, though check-in can be a bit slow if you arrive during peak hours. I’d suggest getting there before 3 PM or after 6 PM if you can swing it. One small gripe – the Wi-Fi can be spotty in some units, so if you’re here for business, definitely test it out early and ask to switch rooms if needed. But honestly, for the price point and location, especially if you’re planning to explore the MOA area or catch a flight from NAIA (it’s maybe 20 minutes by taxi), this place delivers way more value than those big chain hotels charging twice as much.

  The owner and Beth, the property manager, were very accommodating. Beth waited for us until we arrived from our delayed flight from Seoul. She was kind and friendly. The owner was very accommodating with our request for parking and my guest.
  The room is spacious and in a great location close to stores, restaurants and SM MOA.
  
  What could be improved: Not enough toilet paper. But we just bought some in the store.

  What could be improved: All top notch. A good improvement would be to have a tv in bed room on a wall mount up high that can swivel around. Be nice to watch a movie while looking at the rain pissing down outside. And maybe an air fryer as there is no oven. The elements are very close together making cooking a bit difficult.

  The unit was fantastic, everything you needed, location was handy to most things we wanted,and the owner of the condo was so helpfull and gracious, it was a home away from home
  
  What could be improved: The booking in process, the security guards who were the reception people, treat you as an idiot,they won't even check the computer for your booking unless you have a letter from shore residents management, wich we were not sent,because it was all through bookings dot com,this they didn't understand it wSnt until we rang the number on our booking.dot com email that things got cleared up,and we spoke direct to the owner of the condo,and she had to explain to the security that we did indeed have a booking, there was no apology from the management, apparently they indicated that it was our fault we should have known. It was all humiliating, and frustrating. The next time we will go straight through the owner,and let her organise, she was the only one that was apologetic, even it wasn't her fault
  There was no balcony as in the description, but that was no big deal as the unit was lovely
