Cozy Crib @ Air Residences – Makati Overview

Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard about Cozy Crib @ Air Residences – Makati, I wasn’t expecting much from what sounded like another serviced apartment situation. But you know what? Sometimes these residential-style setups actually work better than traditional hotels, especially when you’re planning to stay in Makati for more than just a quick business trip.

The thing about Air Residences is that it’s tucked into this quieter part of the central business district – you’re still close enough to walk to Ayala Triangle Gardens (maybe 10 minutes if you don’t mind the heat), but you’re not dealing with the constant noise from Ayala Avenue. I mean, you’ll still hear some city sounds because, well, it’s Makati, but the building itself is surprisingly well-insulated. The four-star rating makes sense when you see the lobby – it’s got that modern Filipino aesthetic going on, lots of wood and clean lines, though honestly the elevators can be a bit slow during peak hours.

What really got me was how the unit felt more like staying at a friend’s place than a hotel room. The kitchen setup is actually functional (not just for show like some places), and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without living out of a suitcase. The view from the upper floors looks out over the Makati skyline, and if you’re lucky enough to get a west-facing unit, the sunsets are pretty spectacular. The Wi-Fi is solid too – I was able to work from there without any issues, which isn’t always a given in Manila.

Now, here’s the thing about the location that locals know but tourists sometimes miss – you’re actually within walking distance of some great hole-in-the-wall restaurants along Yakal Street. There’s this little carinderia that does amazing sisig, and a 7-Eleven right at the corner for those late-night snack runs. The building connects to a small mall downstairs with a decent grocery store, which is clutch if you’re planning to use that kitchen. Grab and Foodpanda drivers know the building well, so you won’t have those frustrating “I can’t find you” calls.

The staff genuinely seems to care about making your stay work – they helped me figure out the most efficient route to NAIA during rush hour (spoiler: there isn’t one, but some routes are less terrible than others). Check-in was smooth, though they do require a decent security deposit if you’re paying cash. Parking can be tight during weekends, but weekdays are fine. Overall, it’s one of those places that grows on you – not flashy or Instagram-perfect, but comfortable in a way that makes you want to come back next time you’re in town.

Reviews of Cozy Crib @ Air Residences – Makati

  • In the whole enjoyable stay – Sudesh from Australia – May 4, 2025 (8/10)

    Neat and comfortable unit

What could be improved: Lack of utensils as in cutlery

  • Nice – Daniela from Slovakia – August 6, 2024 (7/10)

Very nice and clean place. The TV has free Netflix. The balcony view is great. I didn't use the pool unfortunately because I was only free on monday when it's cleaning day 🙁 But I at least checked it out and it looked nice. But you have to pay 150p to enter. The door is code locked so you don't have to worry about keys or cards.

What could be improved: I got an email that I would receive the door passcode 2 hours before check in, but I didn't. Had to call them to receive it. The balcony door lock gets stuck easily and I couldn't close it. Somehow I forced it closed with a beer opener. I found a cockroach crawling around. The bathroom is fine but could use some bleaching. The shower is also kinda confusing to use, didn't know what to turn haha but it works fine. Also, if you're impatient I dunno if this is the best option. The room is on 47th floor so the elevator takes ages to arrive :/ and even then it might be full. But these are just minor things.

  • Wonderful – Athena from Philippines – May 21, 2024 (9/10)

My second time staying in this unit.
Seamless check-in, digital key is very convenient. Unit is still clean and comfortable.

What could be improved: Weak wifi connenction at times.

  • Wonderful – Athena from Philippines – April 19, 2024 (9/10)

I had a very comfortable stay. The unit is clean, living room smells good too. I like how the design is tasteful and it's not stuffed with unnecessary furniture.
Toiletries and dental kits were also provided.
    Host was responsive.

  • It was a great stay for us. – Schilit from United Kingdom – March 5, 2024 (9/10)

Its located near the mall, groceries and food are easily accessible when you need it. Checking in and out is easy. The place is clean and confortable bed & pillows.

    What could be improved: None

  • Cozy room, unfriendly staff, broken furniture – Greta from Lithuania – February 21, 2024 (7/10)

The location of the property is very convenient, the district is clean and safe compared to other districts and the room was cozy and clean.

What could be improved: The sofa and the shower were broken. So we had difficulty putting our baby to sleep on the sofa because one part of it kept falling down. Also the water in the shower was flowing everywhere so you can not wash yourself without getting water splashed all over your head and face. The staff on the ground floor (mainly security men) were not helpful when we asked to make a copy of the document. They said they could not help us nor they showed us where to do it. Also the faces were very unfriendly, all of them behave like angry policemen and it makes you feel intimidated.

  • Very cozy indeed – Maggie from United States – December 7, 2023 (9/10)

Second time staying here. Love the apartment and the location. Would definitely stay again!

  • Wonderful – Paul from Philippines – November 29, 2023 (9/10)

The unit was well kept and cleaned especially right after a previous booking checked out earlier same day. Complete amenities and check-in/out process was quick and smooth. Highly recommend, especially with places like a grocery, coffee shops and more are the just walking distance next to/around the bldg. Will consider future stays in my next booking plans in Makati.

  • Very Good – Gelyn from Philippines – November 1, 2023 (8/10)

The place was clean, especially the bathroom. Fast internet connection and comfy bed 👌🏼

  • comfy studio! – Maggie from United States – October 30, 2023 (9/10)

This studio was nicely laid out and very comfy. Felt more like an Airbnb. We were able to make some food, use Netflix to relax, and sleep in with the blackout curtains.

What could be improved: check-in was smooth and the host seemed responsive through booking and WhatsApp. the bathroom is a little tight but wasn’t a big issue for us. could be for taller folks.
