But after staying there twice now, I get it. There’s something genuinely homey about this spot that sets it apart from the typical Manila hotel scene.

The location is what really sold me initially. You’re right there in the Mall of Asia Complex area, which I know sounds touristy, but hear me out – it’s actually perfect if you want to be close to everything without dealing with the chaos of central Manila. The Shore 3 Residences building sits right on Seaside Boulevard, and honestly, the bay views from the upper floors are something else. I mean, you can literally walk to SM Mall of Asia in about five minutes, but you’re also close enough to the airport that you don’t have to stress about those early morning flights. The whole Pasay area has this interesting mix of business travelers and families, so it never feels too stuffy or too chaotic.

What I really appreciate about this place – and you know what, this might sound weird – is how they’ve managed to make a hotel feel like you’re staying in someone’s actual apartment. The rooms are spacious in a way that most Manila hotels just aren’t, with proper living areas and kitchenettes that actually work. I’ve cooked breakfast there a few times using ingredients from the nearby markets, which felt oddly satisfying after weeks of hotel restaurant food. The staff genuinely remembers your name after the first day, which is rare these days. Actually, the front desk team helped me figure out the best route to avoid traffic when I had meetings in Makati – that kind of local knowledge you can’t get from a guidebook. The building itself is pretty modern, so you’ve got reliable wifi, good air conditioning (crucial in Manila’s heat), and surprisingly good soundproofing considering you’re near a major shopping complex. I was worried about noise from the mall area, but the rooms facing the bay are actually quite peaceful, especially in the evenings when you can hear the water. The 9.2 rating makes total sense once you experience the balance they’ve struck between hotel service and apartment-style comfort – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in the city, but it does everything really well without any pretense.

  The property is clean, well maintained, updated, toiletries are provided and adequate, kitchen utensils and equipments are cleaned and functional, tv and streaming services are available, toilets and shower facilities are in excellent condition, and host provided instructions and other information that are necessary for check in and out.
