Ethan’s Pad Nr. BGC Overview
So I stumbled upon Ethan’s Pad Nr. BGC during one of my Manila trips, and honestly? It was one of those pleasant surprises that make you feel like you’ve discovered something special. The place sits right in Grace Residences in Taguig, which – if you know the area – puts you smack in the middle of all the BGC action without the insane price tags of the actual Bonifacio Global City hotels.
What really got me was how this four-star spot manages to feel both upscale and genuinely welcoming. I mean, you walk in and there’s this immediate sense that someone actually cares about the details here. The lobby doesn’t try too hard to impress you with marble everywhere, but everything feels thoughtfully put together. The staff remembers your name after day one, which is honestly rare these days. I was there during a particularly busy week in March, and even then, check-in was smooth – no standing around for twenty minutes while they “find your reservation.”
The rooms themselves are what sold me completely. You get these floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the Manila skyline beautifully, especially if you’re on one of the higher floors. The beds are actually comfortable (I’m picky about this), and the air conditioning works properly – trust me, in Manila humidity, that’s not always a given. What I really appreciated was the attention to practical stuff: plenty of outlets near the bed, blackout curtains that actually block light, and a bathroom setup that doesn’t leave you bumping into everything. The Wi-Fi is solid too, which matters when you’re trying to get work done or upload photos without wanting to throw your laptop out the window. You know what though? The real win is the location. You’re close enough to walk to High Street for dinner (about ten minutes if you don’t mind the heat), but far enough away that you’re not dealing with the weekend crowds and traffic chaos that BGC is famous for. There’s this great little coffee place called Yardstick just around the corner that locals actually go to – not touristy at all. And if you need to get to Makati or other parts of Manila, the transport connections are actually decent from Taguig.
The 8.6 rating this place has makes complete sense once you’ve stayed there. It’s not trying to be the fanciest hotel in the city, but it nails the things that actually matter when you’re traveling. Good sleep, reliable service, and a location that lets you experience Manila like someone who lives there, not just passes through.

good but not good staff – Liza from Philippines – February 4, 2023 (8/10)
What could be improved: the staff is not helpful and we were not given the chance to use Netflix and instructions to access to wifi took a while.
Ok place, swimming pool not included. – Salva2re from Norway – January 16, 2023 (9/10)
Well organised, key in place, good advice for directions, clean, washing machine in Bath if needed, 17th floor, so quiet. Coffee place, restaurants, shops near by, 50 meters
What could be improved: Minor details for not full score, no toalett papir, small soap missing, for me no problem with shops close, but for late arrival, maybe. The bad was expensive to use swimming pool, which was Not included, one of the reasons I chose this place. Especially expensive in weekends. I didn't see any info in booking.com about fee for swimming pool. Very noisy fan in bathroom. Bed was hard like many cheap places in Philippines, too hard for me.Wonderful – Anonymous from Philippines – December 18, 2022 (9/10)
What could be improved: Tissue roll and a trash bag would’ve made my rating of the place to 10
Exceptional – May from Philippines – December 2, 2022 (10/10)
