You know what struck me first about Hilton Manila Newport World Resorts? It’s how they’ve managed to create this sort of Vegas-meets-Manila vibe right in the heart of Newport City. I mean, when you’re walking up Newport Boulevard, you can’t miss this massive complex – it’s like someone dropped a luxury resort into what used to be reclaimed land in Manila.

The five-star rating actually feels earned here, which honestly surprised me a bit. I’ve stayed at plenty of international chains that coast on their name, but this Hilton really delivers. The lobby is this soaring space with these dramatic chandeliers, and there’s always this gentle hum of activity from the casino next door – not overwhelming, just enough to remind you you’re somewhere special. What I really appreciated was how seamlessly everything connects. You can literally walk from your room to Terminal 3 at NAIA without stepping outside, which is brilliant if you’re dealing with Manila’s unpredictable weather or just want to avoid the traffic chaos outside. The covered walkways are a godsend during typhoon season, trust me on that.

The rooms themselves are what you’d expect from Hilton – clean lines, comfortable beds, and those floor-to-ceiling windows that give you either city views or glimpses of Manila Bay depending on which side you’re on. I actually preferred the bay-facing rooms despite them being a bit pricier. There’s something about watching the sunset over the water while sipping coffee from the in-room machine that just works. The soundproofing is solid too, which matters because Newport City can get pretty lively, especially on weekends when the Resorts World crowd is in full swing. What really sets this place apart though is how it handles the whole integrated resort thing without feeling overwhelming. You’ve got the shopping at Newport Mall literally downstairs, some seriously good restaurants (that Din Tai Fung gets busy, but it’s worth the wait), and yes, the casino if that’s your thing. But you can also just enjoy the hotel amenities – the pool area is actually peaceful despite being in the middle of all this activity, and the fitness center has proper equipment, not just a few sad treadmills. The staff genuinely seems to know what they’re doing, which isn’t always a given in Manila’s hospitality scene. They’re particularly good with international guests who might be unfamiliar with getting around the city – lots of helpful tips about avoiding rush hour traffic or which taxi apps actually work reliably.

Look, this isn’t a budget option, and you’re definitely paying for the convenience and location. But if you want to experience modern Manila without dealing with the usual headaches of navigating the city, especially if you’re flying in and out of NAIA Terminal 3, it’s honestly hard to beat. The whole Newport City area has this planned, almost artificial feel that some people don’t love, but I found it refreshing after dealing with Manila’s usual organized chaos. Plus, you’re still just a quick ride away from the real Manila if you want to explore Makati or BGC.

  I chose for more luxurious stay on my trip out of the Philippines, and at Terminal 3 of NAIA surroundings, Hilton was an obvious choice. The room overlooked the pool side who proves to be the center-spot of the hotel apart from many bar and restaurant establishments within the building, and is shared with Sheraton from across.
  On that one night of stay we enjoyed it as much as we could.
  Breakfast buffet spared no quarter when it comes to types of cuisine one prefers; Asian, Indian, European-continental are just among the most prominent, but there’s more for sure.
  Other than being a truly exceptional stay, the transfer to NAIA T3 is super easy, on foot around the sidewalks to the entry point of the T3 bridge.
  When next time coming to Philippines, I’d definitely opt for a 2 nights stay there – one is simply not enough to truly unwind and enjoy in there 😉
