Homestead Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Homestead in Makati, you immediately get that “this is actually pretty nice” feeling. It’s a four-star property that doesn’t try too hard to impress you with flashy lobbies or over-the-top décor — instead, it just quietly delivers on comfort and quality. The building sits right in Century City, which honestly feels like one of those rare spots in Metro Manila where everything just works a bit better than usual.
Location & Neighborhood
Here’s the thing about Makati — location is everything, and Homestead really nailed it. You’re in Poblacion, which means you’ve got this perfect mix of business district efficiency during the day and some of the city’s best nightlife when the sun goes down. I mean, couples are rating this spot 8.4 out of 10, and that’s not just because the room is nice. Century City itself is sort of like Manila’s answer to a well-planned urban development — you’ve got shopping, dining, and actual walkable streets, which is honestly refreshing in this sprawling metropolis.
The Accommodation Experience
The rooms at Homestead feel more like serviced apartments than typical hotel accommodations, which works really well if you’re staying more than just a night or two. There’s enough space to actually unpack your suitcase (revolutionary concept, I know), and the setup gives you that “temporary home” vibe rather than feeling like you’re camping out in a generic hotel box. The furnishings are modern without being sterile, and you know what? The air conditioning actually works properly — which anyone who’s spent time in Manila will tell you is not something to take for granted.
Dining & Amenities
While Homestead keeps things relatively straightforward with amenities, what they do have works well. The restaurant serves decent international and Filipino dishes, though honestly, with Poblacion right outside your door, you’ll probably want to explore the neighborhood’s incredible food scene. There’s parking available, which is actually a bigger deal than it sounds when you’re dealing with Makati traffic and limited street parking. The property also maintains a small fitness area and business facilities — nothing fancy, but perfectly adequate for most travelers’ needs.
Why Guests Love It
That 8.5 location score isn’t just marketing fluff — it’s because you can actually walk to places from here, which is rare in Manila. You’re close enough to the Makati Central Business District for work meetings, but far enough from the absolute chaos to get some peace. The staff genuinely seems to care about making your stay work, and there’s something to be said for a place that focuses on getting the basics right rather than overwhelming you with unnecessary bells and whistles. For the price point and the neighborhood, Homestead delivers exactly what most travelers actually need rather than what they think they want.
