I’M Hotel Overview

You know what caught me off guard about I’M Hotel? The name made me expect some trendy millennial marketing gimmick, but this place is actually a serious five-star property that knows what it’s doing. I mean, when you’re sitting right at the corner of Makati Avenue and Kalayaan, you’re basically in the heart of everything that matters in Makati – and they’ve used that location really smartly.

The building itself has this sleek, almost understated presence that I honestly prefer to some of the flashier hotels in the area. What really impressed me was how they’ve managed the street noise situation, which – let’s be real – can be brutal in this part of Manila. The rooms facing Makati Avenue are surprisingly quiet, and I’m guessing they invested heavily in soundproofing because you can barely hear the traffic chaos below. The design throughout feels contemporary without trying too hard, if that makes sense. There’s this subtle warmth to the interiors that keeps it from feeling sterile, which happens a lot with newer luxury properties.

But here’s what I really appreciated – the staff actually seems to understand the neighborhood. When I asked about getting to Greenbelt without dealing with the usual pedestrian nightmare, the concierge gave me this specific route through the connecting walkways that probably saved me twenty minutes of sweating in traffic fumes. The dining situation is solid too, though honestly, being where you are, you’re spoiled for choice anyway. You’ve got Century City Mall practically next door, and if you’re willing to walk a bit (or grab a quick ride), you’re minutes from all the Legazpi Village spots that locals actually go to. The hotel’s breakfast setup is pretty impressive – they clearly get that their guests aren’t all looking for the same generic international buffet experience. I noticed they had some really good local options that didn’t feel like tourist versions of Filipino food. One thing though – parking can get tight during peak hours, so if you’re driving, maybe have your hotel contact confirm space ahead of time. Overall, it’s one of those places that feels like someone actually thought through what travelers need rather than just checking boxes on a luxury hotel list.

The concierge service in Manila can arrange exclusive Intramuros heritage tours, secure private island hopping experiences, and organize trips to nearby Tagaytay volcano views and Corregidor Island.

Reviews of I’M Hotel

  • Modern hotel at a great location – Knut-einar from Norway – September 13, 2025 (9/10)

Great location, spacious rooms, decent gym and a rooftop bar with spectacular views.

What could be improved: The rooftop bar doesn’t have much protection from rain.

  • Good – Norman from Australia – August 26, 2025 (7/10)

Bed was excellent, towels a bit on the thin side, location was ok

What could be improved: A lot of street noise through the night, possibly because we had a corner room facing the busy street

I recently stayed at I'M Hotel while visiting from the UK, and it was a fantastic experience! The hotel offers great value for a luxury stay. The spa was definitely the highlight one of the best massages I’ve had! The rooftop pool and modern rooms were also top-notch. Perfect spot for a relaxing stay without the hefty price tag! Highly recommend!

I had a fantastic stay at I'M Hotel in Pob! For an affordable luxury experience, it really hits the mark. The room was sleek and comfortable, but the standout for me was definitely the onsen IM spa. it was absolutely amazing talaga! I had one of the best massages I’ve ever had, and the relaxation area is perfect for unwinding. The rooftop pool was also a nice touch, with stunning views. It’s the perfect spot if you’re looking for a bit of luxury without breaking the bank! Highly recommend the spa experience!
