I was completely wrong. This four-star property tucked away on the corner of Makati Avenue and Dapo Street turned out to be one of those pleasant surprises that make you feel like you’ve discovered something special.

What struck me right away was how they’ve managed to create this calm, almost residential feel despite being right in the heart of Makati. I mean, you’re literally walking distance from all the Greenbelt madness and the Ayala business district, but somehow the noise doesn’t really penetrate once you’re inside. The suites themselves – and they really are proper suites, not just oversized hotel rooms – have this lived-in quality that actually makes you want to settle in for more than just a night or two. The kitchenettes are surprisingly well-equipped (I actually cooked breakfast there, which is saying something since I barely cook at home), and the living areas have enough space that you don’t feel like you’re climbing over your luggage every five minutes.

The staff here gets it – they’re not overly formal or pushy, just genuinely helpful in that way that makes you think they actually care whether you have a good time. Check-in was smooth, and honestly, they seem to know their neighborhood really well. When I asked about getting to Bonifacio Global City without dealing with the usual EDSA nightmare, the front desk guy gave me this whole alternate route that probably saved me an hour of traffic. It’s those little things that tell you someone’s paying attention. The building itself has character too – it’s not one of those gleaming corporate towers, but it’s solid and well-maintained, with this slightly old-school Manila charm that feels authentic. Plus, and this might sound weird, but the elevators are actually quiet, which matters more than you’d think when you’re trying to sleep off jet lag. If you’re looking for somewhere that feels more like a temporary apartment than a hotel room, especially if you’re in Makati for business or just want to be central without the chaos, this place really delivers on that promise.

  Comfortable apartment, very spacious, big bed, good air conditioning, perfect location, friendly and helpful staff, good price.
