Mi Casa Overview
I’ll be honest, when I first heard about Mi Casa tucked away in the Shore 3 Residences Tower, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The name literally means “my house” in Spanish, which felt a bit generic, but you know what? That actually turned out to be perfect because this four-star place genuinely feels like staying at someone’s really well-appointed home rather than a sterile hotel.
The location in Pasay is actually pretty brilliant if you think about it – you’re close enough to Manila that you can easily hop over to Intramuros or Binondo when you want that full city experience, but far enough out that you’re not dealing with the constant honking and exhaust fumes. What really sold me on the spot was how quiet it gets in the evenings. I mean, you’re still in Metro Manila, so there’s always some background hum, but compared to staying right in Makati or Ermita, this feels almost peaceful. The building itself sits in this residential development that locals actually live in, so you get this weird but wonderful sense of being part of the neighborhood rather than just passing through.
The rooms have this interesting thing going on where they feel spacious without being cavernous – I think it’s because they’ve got these floor-to-ceiling windows that let in tons of natural light during the day. The beds are seriously comfortable (and I’m picky about mattresses), plus they’ve got blackout curtains that actually work, which is rare in my experience. What I really appreciated were the little touches that show someone was thinking about real travelers: enough outlets near the bed for your devices, a mini-fridge that’s actually cold, and – this might sound weird – but the shower has proper water pressure. You’d be surprised how often that’s an issue in this part of the world. The staff deserves a shout-out too, because they strike that perfect balance of being helpful without hovering, and most of them speak excellent English if your Tagalog is rusty like mine.
Here’s the thing that really sets Mi Casa apart though – the whole operation runs smoothly without feeling corporate. Check-in was quick, the WiFi actually works throughout the building (I tested it), and when I needed restaurant recommendations, the front desk guy didn’t just hand me a generic list but asked what kind of food I was craving and gave me specific dish recommendations at three different places within walking distance. That 9.1 rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed there, because it’s one of those places where all the small things just work the way they’re supposed to. If you’re looking for a reliable base in the Manila area that won’t break the bank but still feels like you’re treating yourself well, this is definitely worth considering.

Just a few minutes walk to MOA.BEST COZY PLACE TO STAY IN MANILA, NEAR SM MOA! 🙂 – Mary from Philippines – July 10, 2025 (10/10)
I LIKED EVERYTHING!! The host was nice, the room was so cozy, I'd love to come back and stay again. It has everything that you need in the room. I loved how the bed was in a partition, so it's not directly to the AC and you get privacy. I enjoyed using their smart TV. There's a fridge and microwave and other kitchen essentials. The location is perfect, walking distance to SM MOA and ARENA. It's a quiet area too so I love that.
What could be improved: My stay was so short. I'll choose to stay here next time.highly recommend – Rane from United Arab Emirates – April 17, 2025 (10/10)
I've stayed at this property twice during my layovers and absolutely love it. It's small, but perfect for a solo traveler like me. The location is super convenient close to shops ( cafes, nails salons, laundry , massage place) and mall of asia which made everything easier. Check-in and check-out were smooth, thanks to the detailed instructions provided by the host. Highly recommend this place!
What could be improved: nothingComfortable stop over in Manila – Jamie from United Kingdom – April 15, 2025 (9/10)
Spacious, modern, clean and felt like a home from home for a one night stay. There’s complimentary Netflix and Amazon Prime which was great for relaxing after a night of travelling! The host was responsive when needed. Would recommend this place.
What could be improved: No option for early check in sadly. The building staff are also not friendly at all but this is not the host’s fault!Exceptional – Wayne from United Kingdom – April 4, 2025 (10/10)
