Here’s the thing that really sets this place apart though – it’s the little details that show they actually understand travelers. The shower pressure is proper strong (miracle in this city), there’s enough power outlets that you’re not playing musical chairs with your devices, and honestly, the beds are comfortable in that specific way that lets you actually recover from jet lag instead of just lying there counting ceiling tiles. Newport City itself has grown on me over the years – sure, it’s got that slightly artificial planned community vibe, but there’s decent food within walking distance and the whole area feels safe to wander around, even late at night. The hotel’s restaurant isn’t going to win any awards, but their breakfast spread hits the right notes when you’re dealing with weird sleep schedules, and room service actually arrives while your food is still warm. Small victories, but they add up when you’re tired and just want things to work the way they’re supposed to work, you know what I mean?

  What could be improved: Arriving to the hotel from Terminal 1 is very difficult. Information should be provided by the hotel on how to get there. There is no hotel transportation available. You have to either pay for a taxi or wait a long time for the bus to take you to Terminal 3.

  Great spot for a short stay prior to next day flight. Opposite Terminal 3 and about 10-15 minutes in taxi from Terminal 1. Breakfast superb. Great location in Newport City. Go out the back door and loads of places to eat and drink. Be warned beer at hotel is over twice the price that of outside unlike my other experiences in Philippines hotels. But you have the choice and it don’t spoil anything as I went out.
