You know what caught me off guard about Mint Homes in CEV Mansion? I walked up expecting just another boutique place, but this four-star property actually feels like you’re staying in someone’s beautifully restored family estate – which, honestly, makes perfect sense given the name. The building itself has this old-world Manila charm that you don’t see much anymore, especially not on Adela Street where so much has been torn down and rebuilt.

The location is one of those things that locals get but might not be obvious if you’re just looking at a map. You’re right in the heart of Manila but tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with the constant honking and street noise that can drive you crazy in other parts of the city. I mean, you’ll still hear the city – this is Manila after all – but it’s more like a distant hum than the full-on sensory assault you get closer to the main drags. The staff actually knows the neighborhood really well too, which saved me from some tourist trap restaurants and pointed me toward this incredible little place two blocks over that doesn’t even have a proper sign.

What really impressed me was how they’ve managed to keep that mansion feel without skimping on modern comforts. The rooms have these high ceilings that make everything feel airy, and honestly, the air conditioning works better than some five-star places I’ve stayed at. Check-in was smooth – no standing around waiting while they figure out their computer system – and they actually remember your name, which is rarer than it should be. The common areas have this lived-in elegance that makes you want to hang out with a coffee instead of just rushing through. I spent way more time than planned just sitting in their lounge area, partly because the WiFi is solid but mostly because it’s just a nice space to decompress. Parking can be a bit tight if you’re driving – the neighborhood wasn’t really designed for everyone to have cars – but they work with you to figure it out. I’d definitely come back, especially since they seem to genuinely care about the experience rather than just checking boxes on a hospitality manual.

  The staff of the apartment was very accommodating to our requests. There was just a slight concern with the airconditioning in the living room which prompted us to borrow a stand fan. But other than that, it exceeded our expectations especially for what it's worth.

  We had a really good stay with this apartment, the kitchen and living room area are equiped with everything you need so it feels like your home! The staffs are very approachable,friendly and helpful with all our request and concerns, the premises are also very quite so we had a really good sleep, the apartment is huge and feels like it is more than enough for 12 people, the location is also convenient but still quite, away from noisy cars and pollution.
