Look, I’ve stayed at a lot of hotels in Manila over the years, but Sheraton Manila Hotel at Newport World Resorts really caught me off guard – in the best way possible. You know that feeling when you walk into a lobby and immediately think “okay, this is going to be good”? That’s exactly what happened here. The space is massive but somehow doesn’t feel overwhelming, and honestly, the staff greeting you feels genuinely warm rather than that rehearsed hotel smile you get sometimes.

What I love about this place is how it sits right in the heart of Newport World – you’re literally steps away from the casino if that’s your thing, but more importantly, you’re about as close to NAIA Terminal 3 as you can get without sleeping in the airport. I mean, we’re talking maybe 10 minutes by car, which is a godsend if you’ve ever dealt with Manila traffic. The five-star rating isn’t just for show either – the rooms are spacious (and I mean actually spacious, not hotel-brochure spacious), with these floor-to-ceiling windows that give you pretty decent views of the bay or the city depending on which side you’re on. The beds are ridiculously comfortable, though I will say the pillows might be too soft if you’re used to firmer support.

Here’s something most people don’t mention – the sound insulation is actually impressive. Even though you’re near the airport and in a busy entertainment district, I barely heard any plane noise, and trust me, I’m a light sleeper. The dining options are solid too, especially their breakfast buffet which has this great mix of Filipino and international dishes. Actually, their longsilog is better than some local spots I’ve tried in Manila. The pool area gets pretty busy during weekends, but if you go early morning or late afternoon, it’s perfect for a few laps or just lounging with a drink. One tiny gripe – the elevators can be slow during peak hours, but that’s pretty typical for hotels this size. Overall though, whether you’re here for business, connecting flights, or just want to be close to everything Newport has to offer, this Sheraton really delivers on what you’d expect from the brand, plus some genuine Filipino hospitality that makes the whole experience feel less corporate and more welcoming.

  Sheraton Manila Hotel was exceptional — spotless rooms, superb breakfast, and staff who truly care. Perfect location at Newport World Resorts, just minutes from the airport yet calm and relaxing inside. Can’t wait to come back!

  Good location if you need to be close to the airport.
  A lot of restaurants in the mall next to it.
  Good beds and spacious rooms.
  Staff really friendy as everywhere in the Philipines.
  
  What could be improved: The odor in the hall of our floor is really bed when you exit the elevator.
  We booked a room with jacuzzi on the balcony. This was not available. We did get an upgrade room instead but we booked because of the jacuzzi.
  Only 1 bed for kids was provided for 2 Kids. We probably could have asked for a second one but why didn't they just do that in the first place, there was space enough. When we noticed it was too late and we slept bad becaus of 3 people in 1 bed.
  It took long for the luggage to arrive in the room.
  The breakfast was mainly Asian.
  You cannot take towels of the pool to the room, but there where no bad robes for the Kids.
  The pool side is not so great, you don't see anything of the pool from the sun beds.
  You hear the planes of the airport.

  This hotel really exceeded our expectation. We didn't expect the upgrade we received for free. We really appreciate it a lot. You know the feeling of being tired and jetlag from a long hour of trip and flight and then seeing a room that makes you feel better not only your body could relax, but also your mind and your soul. That was really exceptional. Thank you to the staff who upgraded our room for free. The breakfast was all delicious. We are really sure that we would come back someday.
