The name honestly sounds a bit generic, but when you’re actually staying there in the heart of Makati, it makes perfect sense – it really does feel like someone’s thoughtfully designed home rather than just another serviced apartment.

I mean, this four-star place sits right in the Air Residences building, and the location is honestly pretty brilliant if you know Manila at all. You’re basically surrounded by all those sleek office towers and shopping centers that make Makati the business district it is, but you’re tucked away enough that you don’t get the full chaos of the main drags. The units I’ve seen – they’ve got these scattered floor numbers like 4125, 4225, 4724 – actually have proper living spaces with kitchenettes that work (I’ve stayed in too many places where the hotplate is basically decorative). The design leans modern and clean, nothing too fancy but everything feels purposeful. What I really appreciated was the attention to small details – decent water pressure, air conditioning that doesn’t sound like a helicopter, and windows that actually block out most of the city noise at night.

The thing about staying here is you get that residential building vibe, which honestly works in your favor. There’s less of that hotel lobby hustle and bustle, and more of a “you’re staying in someone’s nice apartment building” feeling. The staff knows what they’re doing without being overly formal about it, and check-in was surprisingly smooth for a place that’s essentially managing scattered units throughout the building. Sure, it’s not going to blow you away with resort-style amenities or concierge services, but that 7.7 rating makes sense when you consider what you’re actually getting – solid, comfortable accommodation in one of Manila’s most connected neighborhoods. You can walk to decent restaurants, grab a cab or Grab ride anywhere you need to go, and actually get work done if that’s part of your trip. It’s the kind of place that grows on you because it just works without trying too hard to impress.

  Location was near the German Embassy (literally 5-min walk). It is located on the 41st floor. Unit was nice and sulit for the price. Host is approachable and helpful. Host also allowed me to have a late check-out.

  When I checked for rooms to stay around makati, this caught my attention and it exceeds my expectation when i entered the room. It's super clean, the decors are relaxing, fully functional household equipments, comfy bed and Alexa is even there to assist me with my needs!! 😍😂 ALEXA TURN OFF THE LIGHTS PLS 😂 All you need is in this room.
  
  The view of the balcony is super relaxing. Looking at people going with their daily lives and the breath taking view of the city light at night.
  
  The overall building of Air residence is stunning. At the 8th floor is the big lobby where you can work by since there are many tables, chairs and sockets to plug your laptop and the pool for children and adults.

  I liked the view in the balcony, the led mirrors and it was a smart home (Alexa). And the owner was very kind and accommodating. Amenities were complete.
  AC worked well, made the whole unit more comfortable 👍🏻
  
  What could be improved: Had a bit of trouble checking in (which also was partly my bad since I had not sent our ID’s beforehand). But yeah, the thought that you’d have to send your ID just for you to be authorized by the personnel in the reception is an inconvenience especially when you arrive exhausted and would appreciate to just go straight to the unit, instead of just giving the ID once you’ve already arrived since you already have your name registered on this platform. But then again, it’s not a hotel, have to follow procedures.
  
  The unit could’ve been cleaned more thoroughly. Still had some trash from the previous guests under the bed. Bathroom was full of water and/or soap marks.
