Stars & Sunsets Sky Views 1br Iguazu Tower Overview

I’ll be honest – when I first heard the name Stars & Sunsets Sky Views 1br Iguazu Tower, I thought it sounded a bit over the top. But you know what? After spending a few nights in this four-star spot in the ACQUA Private Residences complex, I actually get why they went with all those dramatic words. The views from up there really do make you pause whatever you’re doing and just stare out the window for a while.

The location in Hulo, Madaluyong is actually pretty smart if you know Manila at all. You’re close enough to Ortigas that you can walk to the business district when the traffic gets ridiculous (which, let’s face it, is most of the time), but you’re tucked away enough that the noise doesn’t follow you home. I mean, you’ll still hear the city – this is Manila after all – but it’s more of a distant hum than the full symphony of horns and jeepneys you get in some areas. The ACQUA complex itself feels surprisingly peaceful once you’re inside, with decent security and that sort of upscale residential vibe that makes you feel like you’re staying at a friend’s nice place rather than just another hotel room.

What really sold me on the place was the one-bedroom setup – it’s properly laid out with enough space to actually live a bit, not just sleep and shower. The kitchen area isn’t huge, but I managed to make coffee in the mornings and even grabbed some stuff from the nearby Robinsons to cook a simple dinner one night. The bed is comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up feeling like I’d wrestled with it all night, and honestly, the air conditioning works well, which in Manila’s humidity is basically a necessity, not a luxury. The bathroom’s clean and modern, though the water pressure can be a bit moody – sometimes great, sometimes just okay. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I was in town for more than just a quick business trip. For the price point and the space you get, plus that genuinely nice view of the city sprawling out below, it hits that sweet spot between affordable and comfortable that’s harder to find than you’d think in this part of the metro.

Best hotels in Manila range from luxurious high-rise properties in Makati business district to boutique hotels with stunning views of Manila Bay and the city’s impressive modern skyline.

Reviews of Stars & Sunsets Sky Views 1br Iguazu Tower

  • Lovely studio with a brilliant view – Reinier from Netherlands – April 27, 2025 (9/10)

I stayed at this accommodation before and I liked it so much that I booked it again several weeks later. I found this accommodation to be a tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean studio flat on the 52nd floor of a well-maintained high-rise residential building with great amenities. The accommodation comes with soundproof walls, a thick and comfortable mattress, a well-equipped kitchenette, a quiet airconditioning, a secured WiFi with a strong signal, a rooftop swimming pool and an astonishing view of Makati. The staff and the security guards are friendly and polite without being overly strict or fanatic as I witnessed elsewhere in the Philippines. Guests are required to register, but it’s a breeze. Across the river Pasig you’ll find plentiful exciting places to eat and drink, e.g. Power Plant Mall, Ramen Ron, Single Origin Coffee and Filling Station. I deem the area to be safe to walk at day and at night. The biggest danger is crossing the busy road. I stayed at various accommodations at various locations in Metro Manila before and this one is by far the best. Lastly, I found the accommodation as advertised on Booking.com.

What could be improved: Just some minor nuisances: the dining table is tiny and there is no bidet, only a bidet-shower next to the toilet. I found Mandaluyong to be utterly unenticing. There are a 7-Eleven and a decent coffee-bar SIBS nearby, but that’s it on this side of the river Pasig.

  • Lovely studio with a brilliant view – Reinier from Netherlands – April 27, 2025 (9/10)

  • Schöner Ausblick auf Manila – André from Germany – March 16, 2025 (9/10)

    – kleiner Balkon mit schönem Ausblick auf Manila

What could be improved: – Warmwasserversorgung fällt manchmal aus

  • Well maintained, modern and secure studio – Virgil from United Kingdom – February 3, 2025 (9/10)

Loved the location and the view and the rooftop pool on the 55th floor

What could be improved: Everything was great. Could do a bit more on the cleaning slide, but it’s a 10/10 stay for this price

  • Good host, beautiful condo, great view, very cheap, annoying guards, overpriced pool charge – Zachary from United States – January 10, 2025 (7/10)

    -The building was very fancy
-The Host was very friendly and great at communicating
-The view was beautiful from the balcony
    -VERY cheap!

What could be improved: -The guards were annoying and made myself and any dates I had over show identification every time we'd come and leave.
-500 php to use the pool each day was kinda expensive, other places i've stayed at only charge 250 php.

*Miscommunication about the pools- The host and the guard told me I could use it for 500 php when I checked in. However, another employee stopped me when I entered the lagoon and told me I can't use it because i'm a foreigner? wtf
