But this four-star spot in the Breeze Residences tower actually surprised me in the best way possible. You’re right there on Roxas Boulevard’s service road, and I mean literally steps from the bay – you can hear the water if you open the windows, which is something you don’t get in most Manila accommodations.

What really works about this place is the location without the usual Manila chaos. You know how staying near the US Embassy area can be? Usually it’s all concrete and traffic, but here you’ve got this weird pocket of calm. The studio setup is smart too – they’ve maximized every inch without making it feel cramped, and honestly, the view from the upper floors is worth the elevator wait. I stayed during monsoon season (not recommended, but work called), and even with the gray skies, watching the bay from the window was pretty mesmerizing. The building itself feels solid – none of that swaying you sometimes get in newer high-rises, and the air conditioning actually keeps up with Manila’s humidity, which is saying something.

Here’s what I wish someone had told me before booking: the service road can get a bit noisy during rush hour, but it dies down completely by 9 PM. Also, grab groceries at the SM Mall of Asia if you’re planning to use the kitchenette – it’s a quick ride and way better stocked than the smaller shops nearby. The front desk staff actually knows the area well, not just the scripted tourist spots, so ask them about the best pavement cafés along the boulevard. What really sold me on this place was coming back after a long day exploring Intramuros – having that bay breeze and the space to actually spread out my stuff made all the difference. It’s not trying to be a fancy resort, just a really well-thought-out place to stay while you’re exploring Manila, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need.

  The best thing about the place was the staff who were very accommodating. They always ensure that guests are comfortable and properly settled. The facilities are also great with a queen size bed, hot shower, flat screen TV and WIFI. The TV is connected to a cable provider which gives you a variety of choices to watch. What's more interesting is that there is a Free Netflix account that you may use to watch anything you want. Upon request, you may also use an electric stove and electric kettle for your coffee and breakfast. The place could offer much more than enough to what you pay.
  
  What could be improved: Although there is no network signal in the lobby, you can just walk for 10 steps to go to an area where signal is stable.
  For slight improvement, a side table in the bedroom would be helpful.
