I’ll be honest – when I first heard about Avant at the Fort by Urban Realty, I wasn’t sure what to expect from a serviced apartment setup in Bonifacio Global City. But you know what? This place actually surprised me in the best way possible. The moment you walk into the lobby, there’s this sleek, modern vibe that screams “I’ve got my life together” without being pretentious about it. It’s one of those four-star properties that doesn’t try too hard to impress you with marble everything – instead, it just does the basics really, really well.

What I love about staying here is how it sits right in the heart of BGC without all the chaos you’d expect. You’re literally walking distance from High Street and The Mind Museum, but the actual building feels tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with constant street noise (though honestly, the soundproofing is pretty solid anyway). The apartments themselves are spacious – I mean, actually spacious, not “spacious for Manila” spacious. The kitchenettes are functional if you want to grab groceries from S&R nearby and cook something simple, and the living areas have enough room that you don’t feel like you’re camping in a hotel room. The beds are comfortable too, which sounds basic but you’d be amazed how many places get that wrong.

The pool area on the upper floors is where this place really shines, especially during those golden hour moments when Taguig‘s skyline starts lighting up. It’s not huge, but it’s well-maintained and rarely crowded – I think a lot of guests don’t realize it’s there, which works in your favor. The gym is decent enough if you need to work off all that BGC restaurant food, though don’t expect anything fancy. What really sold me on this place, though, is the staff. They’re genuinely helpful without hovering, and the front desk actually remembers your name after a day or two. Parking is included, which is a godsend in this area – trust me, you don’t want to deal with BGC parking rates on your own. The location puts you right in the middle of everything that matters in the Fort, from Serendra’s restaurants to the shopping at SM Aura, but you can also easily grab a taxi or Grab to Makati or other parts of Manila when you need to venture out.

  Great location. Has most things you need: eating utensils and cookware, water bottles in the fridge, hair dryer, towels, basic toiletries, different types of electrical outlets. Powerful water pressure in shower.
  
  What could be improved: Many of the room’s fixtures need better upkeep and repair. Loose bathroom sink faucet that had pieces fall out the bottom when I engaged the stopper. Mold and Putrid smell under the sink. Dish rack was covered in water deposits.

  Staff tried their best to resolve a problem that was created by our check-in information not being available to them. Staff, as I have found throughout the Philippines, were Professional, and Courteous; one of the many factors that makes the Philippines such a beautiful country.
  
  What could be improved: Lack of communication from host. When we booked it said a free taxi from the Airport. No free taxi, we had to pay for a Grab. After denying the free taxi host admitted that the promotion ended the day before our arrival! WTF!! It took over 30 minutes to get to the room because our names were not on the reception list, finally security allowed us entry because we had the passcode for the unit. The swipe pass to the elevator was NOT in the draw as per information. The code for the WiFi was not sent through prior to arrival and as we were operating off WiFi you can guess when we actually got the message from the host with the WiFi code. However, we did find it on the back of the entry door. No free Netflix; followed the instructions and was directed to my Netflix account which I had not used for over 12mths.

  We loved the location, the staff was very courteous and helpful, and the room was very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay overall.
  
  What could be improved: There's a smell coming from the kitchen and laundry area. There was also no hot water in the shower and the kitchen sink facet is lose. The bathroom door handle falls off and there's a water leak from the drain pipe in the laundry area.

  Spacious and clean, comfortable.
  I’ve been a Airbnb person, used it yearly.
  Every thing you needed for the kitchen wares is available. At least they can provide a small coffee maker.
  
  What could be improved: No coffee maker. !!! No small toaster oven.

  Everything was clean and we had ample space with this studio. Owner was very helpful with giving answers about nearest grocery which is walking distance. She gave us a laundry service which had excellent service. It was very easy to communicate with the owner who had a wonderful attitude.
  
  What could be improved: The only thing we were surprised was the stove top was rusted thus we didn’t use it.
