The Alpha Suites Overview

I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to The Alpha Suites on Ayala Avenue Extension, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The building has this sleek, modern look that stands out without being flashy, and you know what? That pretty much sums up the whole experience. This four-star place gets the fundamentals right in a way that actually matters when you’re trying to get work done or just decompress after navigating Makati’s traffic.

The location is really something – you’re right in the thick of Makati’s business district, but tucked just far enough off the main Ayala strip that you don’t get the constant honking and construction noise that can drive you crazy in other hotels around here. I mean, you’ll still hear the city (it’s Manila, after all), but your room feels like an actual refuge. The suites themselves are spacious in a way that surprised me – I’ve stayed in plenty of places that call themselves “suites” but are basically hotel rooms with a mini-fridge. Here, you actually have room to spread out your laptop, unpack properly, and not feel like you’re living out of a suitcase. The kitchenette setup is pretty practical too, which matters more than you’d think when you’re staying for more than a couple nights.

What really won me over, though, was how the staff handles things. Check-in was smooth without being overly formal, and they seem to genuinely know the area – not just the tourist spots, but where to grab decent coffee early in the morning or which entrance to use at Greenbelt when it’s raining (and trust me, that knowledge comes in handy). The housekeeping is consistent, the wifi actually works reliably for video calls, and the air conditioning keeps up with Manila’s humidity without sounding like a jet engine. Look, it’s not going to blow you away with over-the-top luxury, but sometimes you just want a place that does everything well without any unpleasant surprises. That 8.7 rating makes sense once you’ve stayed here – it’s the kind of spot where you find yourself booking the same room for your next trip because you know exactly what you’re getting.

Apartments in Manila provide travelers with authentic local experiences, allowing them to explore traditional Filipino markets and experience daily life in historic Binondo and Malate neighborhoods.

Reviews of The Alpha Suites

  • Wonderful – Robert from Australia – September 5, 2025 (9/10)

What could be improved: Tv sound system needs updating. Access to Netflix needs to be included.

  • Very comfortable and great breakfast with wonderful staff. – Thaddeus from United States – August 18, 2025 (9/10)

Staff was very pleasant and helpful.

What could be improved: We didn’t like that our card could only be used on one tower which was confusing and a pain in the ass at times where we had to walk to the other side just to go up or down floors.

  • Wonderful – Mark from United States – August 16, 2025 (9/10)

I loved the room, the breakfast, and everything about it except the TV.

What could be improved: The tv was advertised as a smart TV with Netflix but it was not.

  • Loved the breakfast. Definitely will be back again – Abigail from Philippines – August 16, 2025 (9/10)

Got assigned the same room we had 3 yrs ago. Loved that it has washing machine and dryer

What could be improved: Throw pillows needs changing

  • All in all, very delightful stay. Will come back. – A from Philippines – August 10, 2025 (10/10)

Everyone was kind and helpful. All the staff we came across were wearing smiles and ready to help. I was with my 85-year-old Aunt and 72-year-old Dad. We booked at the Alpha Suites due to its proximity to the Samsung Theatre. The front desk staff, along with the guards, were so helpful, ensuring we got to the theatre on time.

The 2 Bedroom Deluxe Suite also exceeded our expectations. The photos did not do it justice. Everything was working, very clean.

A lot of selection at the breakfast buffet, too!

All in all, very delightful stay. Will come back.

    What could be improved: N/A

  • Relaxing getaway – Jennifer from United States – August 7, 2025 (8/10)

Location was good. It was still near shopping centers, malls, hospital but it was far enough that you didn’t have to hear the noise of traffic.

What could be improved: Most hotels leave their smoking area open since you can’t or not allowed to smoke outside of the hotel because of a city ordinance. They close the smoking area at 9:00 pm.

  • Highly recommend this place – Clemente from United Arab Emirates – June 21, 2025 (10/10)

The location and cleanliness are second to none.
Great facilities with super polite staff
Second time being there and will only choose this place because of the kitchen and washer and dryer in suite . The pool facilities were very clean and enjoyable..

What could be improved: The breakfast buffet was OK
Lots of choices, but being from Canada, I did find the choices a little limited.

  • Excellent hotel in a great location with amazing staff and delicious food. – Bella from Australia – June 13, 2025 (10/10)

We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were beyond helpful and very accommodating. The breakfast buffet was excellent and we really loved the Filipino food we thought it was better than many restaurants we went to in Manila

What could be improved: We wished the toiletries mini bottles were frequently checked and replaced with new ones.

  • Nice to relax – Mohammed from Saudi Arabia – May 31, 2025 (10/10)

    Apartment furniture and swimming pool

What could be improved: No halal restaurant
