The Bat Cave 2 @Manhattan Heights Overview

Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard the name The Bat Cave 2 @Manhattan Heights, I thought someone was pulling my leg. But this four-star spot tucked away in the Manhattan Heights Tower D complex actually surprised me in the best way possible. You know how some hotels try too hard with quirky names but fall flat? This isn’t one of those places.

The thing about staying here is that you’re really getting the authentic Quezon City experience without all the tourist traps. General Romulo Avenue can get pretty busy during rush hour – I mean, what street in Quezon City doesn’t? – but the tower setup means you’re elevated above most of the noise. I stayed on the 12th floor and honestly, it was quieter than I expected. The rooms have this modern, minimalist vibe that doesn’t feel cold or sterile, which is harder to pull off than you’d think. The air conditioning actually works properly (trust me, this matters more than you realize in Manila’s heat), and the Wi-Fi is solid enough that I could video call my family back home without those awkward frozen-screen moments.

What really won me over was how the staff seemed to genuinely know the area. When I asked about getting to SM North EDSA, the front desk guy didn’t just point me toward a taxi – he told me exactly which jeepney routes to take and warned me about the construction on Mindanao Avenue that would add twenty minutes to any Grab ride. That’s local knowledge you can’t fake. The breakfast spread isn’t huge, but they do this really good longsilog that hits the spot, and the coffee is surprisingly decent for hotel coffee. I also appreciated that they have a small convenience store in the lobby because, let’s face it, you’re going to need bottled water and maybe some late-night snacks. The elevators are reasonably fast too, which might sound like a weird thing to mention, but when you’re staying in a high-rise and running late for meetings, every minute counts. The only minor thing I’d mention is that the gym is pretty basic – just a few machines and some free weights – so if you’re serious about working out, you might want to look into day passes at nearby fitness centers. But honestly, for the price point and the location, this place delivers on what matters most: clean rooms, reliable service, and staff who actually seem to care about making your stay work.

Manila’s hotels showcase the perfect blend of Filipino hospitality and metropolitan sophistication, with many featuring spa services and authentic Filipino cultural experiences.

  • Comfortable in Cubao – Peter from Australia – April 27, 2025 (8/10)

Probably the best option in this great location at its price point. Stays cool in the heat and perfect if you want something cosy and simple.

What could be improved: Bits here and there could use some attention

  • Our stay at the Bat Cave 2 – Therese from Philippines – January 20, 2025 (7/10)

We liked how it was near everything we needed. (Malls, restaurants, convenient stores, transportation). It also has the essentials. (Towels, cooking and eating utensils, fridge, microwave, rice cooker, complimentary water, water filter)

What could be improved: The internet was unstable. We couldn't maximize the Smart TV for Netflix and Youtube. The owner was responsive about the concern, though! The air-conditioning unit may also need to be cleaned or replaced as it wasn't working very well during our stay. Without the fan, the room would feel hot. We're glad a standing fan was provided.

  • Fantastic date time at the Bat Cave! ❤️😊 – Antivola – December 30, 2023 (10/10)

The place is exceptionally neat and meticulously arranged. The interior designs are impressive, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The thoughtful notes on the appliances are a nice touch, and the balcony stands out. The inclusion of free Netflix and a smart TV adds to the experience—no need to cast from our laptops for movies. Ideal for a cozy Netflix and chill session. We enjoyed the swimming pool and charming garden spaces. We're considering renting this unit again if it's open.

What could be improved: We didn't find anything in particular that we disliked.
Everything was satisfactory, and there were no specific issues on the units and appliances.
