The Bellevue Manila Overview

I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to The Bellevue Manila in Filinvest Corporate City, I wasn’t expecting much from what seemed like just another business hotel. But you know what? This five-star property completely changed my mind about Alabang as a place to actually stay, not just pass through on the way to somewhere else.

The thing about this hotel is that it sits right in the heart of this planned corporate district, which sounds boring but actually works in your favor. You’re walking distance from Festival Mall (seriously, like two minutes), and there’s this whole network of covered walkways that locals use to avoid the heat – something I only figured out on day three of my stay. The lobby has this dramatic high ceiling thing going on with natural light streaming in, and honestly, it feels more like a resort than a city hotel. The staff here actually remembers your name after the first day, which is refreshing in Manila where service can be hit or miss. I mean, the front desk guy knew I preferred my room key in my left hand because I always had my phone in my right – that’s the kind of attention to detail that makes a difference.

What really sold me on this place was the pool area on the fourth floor. It’s got this infinity edge that looks out over the Alabang skyline, and if you time it right around sunset, you’re getting some pretty spectacular views of the Laguna mountains in the distance. The water’s actually warm enough to swim in year-round, unlike some hotel pools that feel like ice baths. Room-wise, I stayed in one of their deluxe kings and the bed was legitimately comfortable – none of that rock-hard mattress nonsense you sometimes get. The bathroom has a deep soaking tub that I actually used (rare for me), and the water pressure is solid. One small thing though – if you’re a light sleeper, ask for a room away from Filinvest Avenue because the morning traffic can get pretty noisy around 7 AM. The breakfast buffet is where they really shine – there’s this Filipino section where they do fresh lumpia and longsilog that’s better than what you’ll find at most local restaurants. Their pancakes are fluffy in that American diner way, and the coffee is strong enough to wake the dead. Parking is free and covered, which matters more than you’d think during rainy season. The whole Filinvest area gets pretty quiet after business hours, so if you’re looking for nightlife, you’ll need to head into Makati or BGC, but honestly, sometimes it’s nice to have a peaceful base to come back to.

The concierge service in Manila can arrange exclusive Intramuros heritage tours, secure private island hopping experiences, and organize trips to nearby Tagaytay volcano views and Corregidor Island.
