The Radiance Manila Bay Overview
I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to The Radiance Manila Bay along Roxas Boulevard, I wasn’t expecting much from what looked like just another high-rise in Pasay. But you know what? This four-star place actually surprised me in the best way possible.
The thing about this hotel is its position – and I mean that literally. You’re right there overlooking Manila Bay, which means sunset views that’ll make you forget about the traffic chaos you probably just escaped from Manila. The lobby’s got this sort of understated elegance going on, nothing too flashy, but clean lines and enough marble to feel upscale without being intimidating. What really got me though was how genuinely helpful the staff seemed – not that rehearsed hospitality you get sometimes, but like they actually wanted to help you figure out the city.
The rooms are solid, honestly better than I expected for this price range. Mine faced the bay (definitely worth requesting), and watching the ferries chug back and forth while sipping coffee in the morning became my little ritual. The beds are comfortable – I’m picky about this stuff – and the AC actually works properly, which in Manila’s humidity is basically non-negotiable. One small thing that impressed me: the bathroom had decent water pressure and hot water that didn’t take forever to kick in. Sounds basic, but you’d be surprised how many places mess this up. The WiFi’s reliable too, which matters if you’re trying to stay connected or upload those sunset photos.
Location-wise, you’re in a sweet spot here. SM Mall of Asia is literally a short walk away – perfect for shopping, dining, or catching a movie when you need some air-conditioned refuge. The Cultural Center of the Philippines is close by too, so if you’re into theater or arts, you’re set. And here’s something locals know: the baywalk area right outside is great for evening strolls, especially once the sun starts setting. Gets a bit crowded on weekends, but during weekdays it’s pretty peaceful. Getting around the city from here is straightforward – taxis and ride-shares know exactly where you are, and you’re well-positioned for both Makati business district trips and Old Manila exploring.
The hotel restaurant‘s breakfast buffet is actually worth getting up for – they do a nice mix of Filipino dishes alongside the usual international stuff. Try the longganisa if you’re feeling adventurous. The pool area up top is small but functional, though it can get busy in the afternoons with families. Early morning or late evening, it’s perfect for unwinding after a day of navigating Manila’s intensity.
Look, this isn’t going to be the fanciest place you’ll ever stay, but The Radiance delivers exactly what it promises without any pretense. It’s comfortable, well-located, and the staff genuinely seems to care about your experience. For the price point and that bay view, it’s honestly hard to beat in this part of the city.

What could be improved: What we don’t like to some staff like the guard there is kinda nosy. Be mindful that we are guest. But I want to commend Mr. Gerald, he is very kind that let our luggage to early check in cause we came early. We really appreciate his kindness!Great for solo or couple. Near manila bay area. Reasonable and clean. Will definitely come back – Eric from Philippines – August 11, 2025 (10/10)
Nice building, well secured, lots of staff to help your way around. The gym is a plus. Well maintained. The room is comfortable and complete. Bed is comfortable and clean
What could be improved: None.Highly recommended, especially if you are staying in Manila a bit longer. – Luc from Philippines – August 11, 2025 (9/10)
The room offered everything one could expect. All that was promised in the description was available and in good quality. The internet connection (Globe) was the best I ever had in a hotel room. The swimming pool was nice, the water was good, and the pool was very well oriented. Even though it was surrounded by high buildings, the sun could still heat the water.
What could be improved: The only downpoint was the reception downstairs, the moment of the arrival. The person sitting at the reception desk was no help whatsoever. It was asked to call the agent that would handle things, but in the hall of the building there is no reception for mobile telephones. One has to go out all the way, a walk of 250 m to be able to make phone call. It took us almost an hour to get in touch with someone.
On the other hand, there was this nice young man who came immediately after our call; he was very friendly and helpful. Once he was there and showed us the room, the perils of the waiting were very quickly forgotten, and we had a wonderful stay.Exceptional – Rosa from Philippines – July 31, 2025 (10/10)
Christian he is a good
What could be improved: Clean roomGreat stay – Tajudeen from United Arab Emirates – July 28, 2025 (10/10)
Ridiculously great value. Very comfortable. Great view of the ocean. Very kind host, Christian.
What could be improved: All issues were outside of control – annoying screaming and singing from neighbours, excessive room scent in lobby that had me nauseating.
