What really impressed me was how quiet it stays despite being in such a bustling area – the soundproofing actually works, which is something I’ve learned not to take for granted in Manila.

The Netflix setup isn’t just some afterthought either – it’s properly integrated, so you can binge-watch after long days exploring without fighting with sketchy WiFi or tiny screens.   The owner of the property is there to greet you and hand over the keys. It was easy and they take you to the property. The location is perfect where the property is surrounded by malls and restaurants

  We’ve stayed at a few home rental services in Canada, but this was my first time visiting Manila, Philippines, and I was a little unsure about what to expect. Fortunately, our experience at Thompson Suites BGC (One Uptown Residences) in Makati was fantastic, and a lot of that had to do with our wonderful host.
  
  From the beginning, our host was incredibly kind, patient, and informative. As newcomers to Manila, we had a lot of questions about local customs, transportation, and the area. Our host was always quick to respond to our emails, providing us with useful tips and answering all of our inquiries. I really appreciated their helpfulness, which made us feel more at ease.
  
  In addition to the host, the reception desk and property management staff were also exceptional. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, making us feel like valued guests. The property itself was clean, well-maintained, and in a great location near restaurants and shops.
  
  If you’re planning to visit Manila and looking for a comfortable, friendly place to stay, I highly recommend Thompson Suites BGC. The host and staff will go out of their way to ensure you have a memorable stay.
  
  What could be improved: Unfortunately, the really bad air quality and grid-locked traffic in the greater Manila area was the worst I've seen. Thankfully, we were able to walk everywhere – but the air pollution and tropical climate made walking outside a serious health risk for me.
  
  If you plan to visit, I’d recommend looking for rideshare services with air conditioning (Cars/Passenger Vans) to avoid long walks. Despite the challenges, Manila still offers a lot to explore if you can plan ahead and book a rideshare 1-2hrs in advance.
