You know what caught me off guard about Travelers Inn – Modern Capsule Bunks, Makati? I honestly wasn’t expecting much from a capsule hotel, but this place completely changed my perspective on budget accommodation in the Philippines. Walking up from Makati Avenue, you’d almost miss it if you weren’t looking – it’s tucked into this surprisingly quiet spot despite being right in the heart of everything.

The whole four-star capsule concept actually works here, and I mean really works. Each pod feels like stepping into a little spaceship – there’s this soft blue lighting that kicks in when you slide the privacy screen shut, and honestly, the mattress quality rivals some regular hotels I’ve stayed at in Makati. What impressed me most was the attention to detail in these tiny spaces. You’ve got individual climate control (thank god, because Manila humidity is no joke), a decent-sized screen for entertainment, and enough charging ports for all your devices. The sound isolation is surprisingly good too – I was worried about snoring neighbors, but the white noise system they’ve installed covers most disturbances.

The common areas are where this place really shines though. There’s this lounge space on the ground floor that becomes sort of a social hub in the evenings, with travelers swapping stories and locals grabbing coffee before work. The shared bathrooms are immaculate – seriously, cleaner than most regular hotel bathrooms I’ve encountered. They stock them with proper toiletries too, not those tiny packets you usually get. Location-wise, you’re maybe a seven-minute walk from Greenbelt, and the MRT station is close enough that you can actually hear the trains if you listen carefully (but it’s not disruptive). I found myself using Grab a lot less because so much is walkable from here. The staff genuinely seem to care about the place – check-in was smooth, and when I mentioned I had an early flight, they helped me sort out transportation without me even asking. Honestly, at a 9.1 rating, this spot has figured out how to make small spaces feel thoughtful rather than cramped, which is pretty rare in budget accommodation anywhere, let alone in a prime Manila location.

  Place is very relaxing and fresh. I needed to cancel my 2nd BnB just to extend my stay here.

  The self-check-in was a nice touch since it became less of a hassle to go in and out of the room especially if the group staying arrived separately. The place had most of what you may need during the stay in general and it is comfortable to stay in overall.
  
  What could be improved: The stove was not easy to use since we didn't see the instructions for it but we figured it out midway so that was fine. I would like to suggest placing the instructions at the fridge since it's easy to see and the issue of not being included in the host's instructions will not happen again.

  Everything went smoothly, from check in to check out. You literally just have to bring yourself and your clothes because the room provides almost everything you need. It was spacious, clean, fresh and organized. We stayed for a week and we still didn't want to leave 😂
