Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Winford Resort and Casino Manila on MJC Drive, I wasn’t expecting much from the outside. The area around Sta Cruz can feel a bit gritty, you know? But man, once you step inside this five-star property, it’s like entering a completely different world. The lobby hits you with that polished marble and soft lighting combo that somehow makes you forget you’re still technically in the hustle of Manila.

What really got me was how they’ve managed to balance the whole casino vibe without making it feel overwhelming if you’re not into gambling. I mean, yes, there’s definitely the sound of slot machines drifting around, but the hotel sections feel separate enough that you can actually get some sleep – which, honestly, I was worried about. The rooms are genuinely spacious by Manila standards, and I loved that they’ve got these floor-to-ceiling windows that give you a decent view of the city sprawl. The beds are properly comfortable too, not just firm for the sake of being firm like some places do.

Here’s the thing though – this place really shines when it comes to food. Their restaurants actually know what they’re doing, and I’m not just talking about typical hotel buffet fare. The Filipino dishes have that home-cooked authenticity that’s hard to find in tourist spots, while their international options don’t feel like afterthoughts. Plus, room service comes up hot, which you’d be surprised how rare that is. The staff genuinely seems to care about getting things right, and check-in was smooth even during what seemed like a pretty busy weekend. Parking‘s straightforward too, which anyone who’s driven around Manila will appreciate – no circling blocks or squeezing into impossible spots. It’s one of those places where the 8.1 rating actually makes sense when you’re there experiencing it, rather than just looking good on paper.

We have a Lunch there with my Friends 6 of us. we order Kare Kare too Hard and Chewy, Pancit Malabon The worst pancit that i ever taste,inihaw na liempo with fish too much vinegar.the one that really good is the Sisig.The check in why we need to wait until 1:30 pm to be accomodate.like Balikbayan that come straight from the Airport will arrive at your Hotel about 7am and wait 6 hours before we are accomodate.Thank you.

  The staff were super friendly and catered to our needs. The location of the resort is in front of a major shopping mall as well as connected to a casino if you enjoy gambling (which we didn't do)

  The hotel is over all a very nice hotel. Right across the street is a mall where you can get everything from massage to a hammer. Staff is fine, we didn't have much communication with desk staff, but we felt very welcome at the pool bar.

  What could be improved: The breakfast was "OK" – I am used to more variety and I need to know what is in the food I'm going to eat, but there were no such information given. Of course I could have asked..
  The rooms are not at all soundproof, when the vacumer was on outside the door it felt like it was inside the room. Somewhere near our room people were having fun, wich is good for them, but we couldn't sleep due to all the noise that we heard over to our room.

  The property is immaculate and very clean, there’s have good security everywhere which is very good for us. Bed is very comfortable with city view
  
  What could be improved: The room is too cold with full air conditioning on even tho we have adjusted the room temperature but still very cold. The facilities such as sugar, coffee sachets is not enough, no milk and no tea bag sachet in the room, we hoping the management property at the hotel considering to put good quality coffee and tea bag in the room hotel. We stayed for two nights, first day we have hot water in the bathroom but the second days no hot water in the bathroom. We tried to figure out maybe the housekeeping turn off the hit after cleaning still can’t find out how to turn on the hot water system. So I have showered with cold water.
