You know what caught me off guard about 101 Newport Blvd Condotel? It’s this four-star place tucked away in what’s essentially a residential cluster in Pasay, but somehow it works perfectly. I mean, when you first pull up to Newport Boulevard, you’re not expecting much – it’s not exactly the glitziest street in Manila – but once you get inside Unit 9, the whole vibe shifts. The space feels more like staying at a friend’s really nice apartment than a typical hotel, which honestly was exactly what I needed after bouncing between stuffy business hotels.

The condotel setup is actually pretty clever. You get all the hotel services you’d expect, but your room has this lived-in comfort that makes you want to kick off your shoes and actually relax. The kitchen area isn’t just for show either – I ended up using it way more than I thought I would, especially since there’s a decent grocery spot just a short walk away. What really sold me though was how quiet it gets at night. Pasay can be absolutely chaotic during the day, but this little cluster feels insulated from all that madness. I could actually sleep without earplugs, which is saying something for this part of the metro.

The location is one of those things that seems inconvenient on paper but works out great in practice. Sure, you’re not right in Makati or BGC, but you’re close enough to everything that matters without paying those premium district prices. NAIA is ridiculously close – like, you could almost walk there if you weren’t dragging luggage – which made my early morning flight so much less stressful. Plus, the staff actually knows the area well enough to give you real directions, not just generic tourist suggestions. They pointed me toward this hole-in-the-wall Filipino breakfast place that I never would have found otherwise. The 8.2 rating makes total sense once you spend a night or two there; it’s not trying to be fancy, it’s just trying to be comfortable and convenient, and it absolutely nails both.

  I liked everything about the room , except the woman receptionist downstairs who was awful and very rude she wouldn’t let me leave my suitcase there as I got there few hours early.

  The location is within walking distance of Terminal 3, Grabs to the airport were cheap, at the end of a lovely little street with all the shops you need in walking distance, really nice hotel, I would definitely use again. Considering it was under the airport flight path, the rooms were quite.
