I’ll be honest, when I first saw the name 1BR Suite @ SM Jazz Residences – WIFI & Netflix, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect – but this four-star setup in Makati actually surprised me in the best way. The building sits right on SM Jazz Drive, which puts you in this interesting sweet spot where you’re close enough to all the Makati action but not drowning in the chaos of Ayala Avenue traffic.

What really won me over was how thoughtfully put together everything is inside. I mean, whoever set this place up actually gets what travelers need – the WiFi is genuinely fast (not that “high-speed” nonsense that barely loads your emails), and having Netflix already set up on a decent-sized TV feels like such a small luxury after long days exploring Manila. The suite itself has this clean, modern vibe without being sterile, and the bedroom setup gives you proper space to spread out your stuff, which you know is rare in city accommodations. The kitchen area isn’t huge, but it’s functional if you want to grab groceries from SM instead of eating out every meal – and trust me, your wallet will thank you.

Location-wise, you’re basically winning on multiple fronts here. SM Mall of Asia isn’t far when you want that full shopping experience, but honestly, I found myself appreciating the quieter residential feel of this particular stretch. You can actually walk to decent local spots for food (there’s this great little Filipino place about five minutes away that locals frequent), and getting a Grab to BGC or other parts of Makati is quick and affordable. The building itself feels secure and well-maintained – not flashy, but solid. Parking was straightforward when I needed it, and the whole check-in process was refreshingly drama-free. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I was planning a longer Manila trip where having that extra space and the Netflix downtime would really matter. It’s one of those places that just works without trying too hard to impress you.

  The property is just near all the establishment that you need – grocery, coffee shop.
  
  What could be improved: Cooking equipments are too small, the frying pan is only good for cooking egg and the pot is too small. Could have been better if they also have cooking utensils. It could have been better if a washer is available. Could have been better of a drinking water is available at the unit.

  The property is very clean, everything was in order.
  It was walking distance to the office I went to.
  The property is just above the Jazz Mall so there was no problem where to dine and buy same essentials
  I liked the smooth check in and check out. Also, the security guards are courteous and friendly.
  
  What could be improved: Not so much a dislike. But hope the property owner will place a shower curtain so as not to wet the floor of the toilet portion.
  Also, can the property owner provide an extra blanket in case the guests will not sleep together on the bed. Like when I stayed in the property, my companion was my nephew and he preferred to sleep on the sofa. Thank you.

  Very quiet, clean, and comfortable. Clear directions for check-in, and well-known location. Nice view from balcony. Supermarket downstairs along with restaurants and a CBTL coffee shop. For more local places, walk a couple of blocks west along Metropolitan Ave.

  The room is clean. The size of the room is consistent with the price we paid. The owner is friendly. The location is superior.
  
  What could be improved: The plastic is still on the mattress. You need to buy your own shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste and body wash, etc.. No washing machine, and there is no place or rod to hang your clothes, even though there are couple of hangers. Very strict in check-in and check-out time.

  Been in several apartments in Manila and many of them look like this one. However, this one is very well maintained and slightly bigger than others (also because of the balcony). It certainly has it all for a short time stay (we stayed a week).
  The owner is very responsive and super helpful. He replies very fast on messages.
  Check in and check out went smooth.
  
  What could be improved: We had some confusion about food delivery, which can only happen at the second flood and not at the GF entrance.
  Every new security guard asked about our registration and Jazz ID. They stayed very friendly when we told we are there for a short term and already registered.

  Perfect location, seamless late night check-in, spotless, comfortable, well equipped and very fairly priced, in a good building. Internet was fast and reliable. My stay was perfect.
  
  What could be improved: There seems to be an issue with excessive humidity in the unit, despite there being two or three humidity absorbants there was still somehow of a mouldy smell when you walk in, but it's not noticeable after a while (maybe I'm not too sensitive). While having the TV with Netflix is a plus, the TV itself is very cheap and the sound is terrible, i ended up watching the series in my phone instead 😂. The bedframe makes a but of noise if you move while sleeping, it could be easily fixed and would improve the experience a lot.
