Acacia Hotel Manila Overview

I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Acacia Hotel Manila in Filinvest Corporate City, I wasn’t expecting much from what felt like a business district location. But this five-star property completely changed my perspective on Alabang, and honestly, it’s become one of my go-to recommendations for anyone wanting luxury without the chaos of central Manila.

The thing that struck me immediately was how they’ve managed to create this serene bubble right in the middle of a bustling corporate area. You know what I mean – you’re surrounded by office towers and commerce centers, but somehow the moment you step into the lobby, there’s this incredible sense of calm. The design feels authentically Filipino without being kitschy, which is harder to pull off than you’d think. I actually spent way too much time just sitting in their lounge area during my first visit, watching the interplay between the natural wood elements and these gorgeous textile details they’ve woven throughout the space.

What really sets this place apart though is how well they understand their location. Most hotels in Muntinlupa feel like afterthoughts, but Acacia genuinely embraces being in Alabang – and that works in your favor. The staff knows exactly which jeepney routes connect you to Festival Mall (seriously, ask them), they’ll point you toward the best local eateries along Commerce Avenue that tourists never find, and they actually get excited talking about nearby spots like the Ayala Malls complex. Plus, if you’re dealing with business meetings in the area, you can literally walk to most of the major corporate offices, which saves you from Manila’s legendary traffic headaches. The rooms themselves feel more spacious than typical city hotels, probably because they had room to spread out here, and I love that many of them have these unexpected garden views – not something you’d anticipate in a commercial district. The bathrooms are particularly well done, with rainfall showers that actually have decent water pressure (you’d be surprised how often five-star properties mess this up). One small thing that impressed me was how quiet it stays at night; even though you’re near major roads, their sound insulation is spot-on. I mean, the 8.1 rating makes sense when you experience the attention to these kinds of details firsthand.

Hotel in Manila booking should be done early, especially during festival season when the city hosts internationally celebrated cultural events and street parades at historic venues.

Reviews of Acacia Hotel Manila

  • Staff lovely and efficient – Mike from United Kingdom – May 13, 2025 (8/10)

    Location
    Style
    Staff

What could be improved: Pool disappointing, needs rethink as not user friendly

  • Suitable for Couples, Less Ideal for Small Children – David from Philippines – March 20, 2025 (7/10)

    – Offers a pleasant view of the acacia treetops, a busy intersection, and Alabang Town Center in the distance.
    – Impressive lobby featuring large art decorations.
    – Two restaurants on the ground floor, with Wildflour just across the street within walking distance, along with McDonald’s and Jollibee for those who prefer fast food.
    – Varied breakfast selection, including bread, rice, and even sushi.
    – Within walking distance of Filinvest City Central Park, though there are some beggars in the area.
    – Festival Mall is nearby but slightly too far to walk. The hotel supposedly offers a free shuttle service, but I did not use it.
    – Complimentary cot provided.

What could be improved: – Security deposit was 4,000 PHP instead of the advertised 3,000 PHP.
    – Rooftop bar and viewing deck were closed.
    – No restaurant on the top floor—only a function room.
    – The children’s pool was occupied by adults.
    – No designated play area for children; reception directed me to the meeting rooms on the second floor, but they likely misunderstood my request.
    – There is an artificial grass area, but it was occupied by a few smokers, making the space unpleasant due to the smell.

  • Great value, great location and staff were exceptional – Luke from United Kingdom – December 27, 2024 (8/10)

Location was great for us. Staff were amazing and very helpful. Buffet breakfast was good with lots of choices

What could be improved: Would have been good to have a separate bar in the lobby for just drinks. Seems to only have restaurants

  • Good – Tempeash from United States – October 19, 2024 (7/10)

    staff very good!

    What could be improved: TV

  • Very Good – Marve from Philippines – July 31, 2024 (8/10)

What could be improved: The hot shower was not working

  • Value for money, generally comfortable stay. Could be improved. – Aiza from Australia – July 25, 2024 (8/10)

Conveniently located, staff were very friendly and attended to our needs. The bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious enough for my family (2 adults and 2 children)

What could be improved: The tiles in the bathroom needed mending. It looked like the grout was chipping off, leaving a trail of white, flaky bits everywhere. The shower screen wasn't a tight fit, resulting in some water leaking out every time we would use it. It made the tiled floors very slippery which is quite dangerous especially when you have small children.

  • Great staff and excellent location! The hotel shuttle was definitely a bonus. – Frances from United States – July 21, 2024 (8/10)

    Staff were excellent!

What could be improved: The bathroom shower leaks and has molds.
