But once you get past that SM Shell Residence complex entrance in Pasay, this four-star spot actually surprised me in the best way possible. The whole setup feels less like a traditional hotel and more like you’re staying in a really well-appointed apartment that someone else keeps spotlessly clean for you.

What really got me was how they’ve managed to create this cozy, almost intimate atmosphere despite being part of a larger residential development. The rooms have this warm, lived-in quality – not sterile like some places that try too hard to be modern. I mean, you’ve got all the essentials you’d want (and the air conditioning actually works properly, which trust me, matters a lot in this humidity), but there are these thoughtful touches that make it feel personal. The staff genuinely seem to care about making your stay comfortable, not just checking boxes on some corporate hospitality checklist. I noticed they remember little details about guests, which honestly makes such a difference when you’re trying to unwind.

Location-wise, you’re in a sweet spot that most tourists completely miss. Sure, you’re not right in the thick of Manila’s chaos, but that’s actually perfect if you want to experience the city without feeling overwhelmed by it. The SM Mall of Asia is practically next door – and before you roll your eyes about malls, this one’s massive and has everything from decent restaurants to that bay view everyone talks about. Plus, getting to the airport from here is refreshingly straightforward, which I learned the hard way after staying in places where a short taxi ride turns into an hour-long ordeal through traffic. The neighborhood itself has this authentic, residential feel during the day, then comes alive in the evenings with local food spots that you’d never find in guidebooks. I spent one morning just wandering around with coffee, watching the city wake up – something you can’t really do when you’re staying right in the tourist zones. With an 8.9 rating from other travelers, I can see why people keep coming back here. It’s one of those places that gets the balance right between comfort and character, without trying to be something it’s not.

  The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The owner were friendly and helpful, and the location was perfect for exploring nearby MOA. Quiet and cozy – I’d definitely stay here again!

  Paid for an extra fee so we could check in early at 12 noon. We arrived at the lobby before 12 noon but according to the care taker there's still a guest, but according to the owner, it was available at that time. Nonetheless, we got to the room at 12:30 but it was a bit of a hassle for us since we we're expecting to be in the room at 12 noon since I have a concert to attend to at 1pm.

  the place is neat, has kitchen and bathroom essentials, and is very near to the event that we attended. the host is also responsive and very accomodating especially when we asked if we could check-in early. they immediately informed us about the additional fees for early check-in and had clear instructions upon checking in.
  
  What could be improved: there was a bit of struggle in terms of using mobile data since the signal was very weak. however, the place has its own wifi router, we were just unable to connect from our phones.

  The unit was exactly we needed. Good thing the pool area was huge and not crowded even during the peak season. The unit owner and assistant was accommodating. Thank you for the assistance.
  
  What could be improved: We were not advised that the tv was not working. Just found out when we are already there. Have to kind of struggle to get a pool pass/ticket. Was not advised that we have to get a ticket first even I asked about it before.
