Lotus Residence, Manila Overview
I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Lotus Residence, Manila on Roxas Boulevard, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect from a residential-style hotel. But you know what? This four-star place actually surprised me in all the right ways.
The thing about staying in Pasay is you’re right in the thick of things without being stuck in the touristy Makati bubble that most visitors never leave. From my unit on the 39th floor (yeah, they put guests pretty high up), I could see the sprawl of Manila stretching out in every direction – it’s honestly pretty incredible at sunset when the smog clears a bit. The Breeze Residences building itself feels more like an upscale condo tower than a traditional hotel, which I actually preferred. No crowded lobby scene, just a clean elevator ride straight up to what feels like your own apartment for a few days.
What really sold me on this place was how functional everything felt. I mean, you’ve got a proper kitchenette with a full-sized fridge – not one of those tiny hotel minibars that barely fits a water bottle. The living area actually has space to spread out your stuff, which is huge when you’ve been living out of a suitcase for weeks. The bedroom’s got blackout curtains that work (trust me, this matters when you’re dealing with Manila’s early sunrise and the occasional streetlight), and the bathroom has decent water pressure. Sure, the furnishings aren’t going to win any design awards – sort of modern but playing it safe – but everything works and feels clean. The Wi-Fi was solid enough for video calls, which honestly puts it ahead of some supposedly fancier places I’ve stayed.
Location-wise, you’re about a 10-minute walk to Mall of Asia if that’s your thing, though I actually preferred grabbing street food from the vendors along Roxas Boulevard in the evenings. There’s something about eating grilled squid while watching the bay that just hits different. Getting around is pretty straightforward – taxis and Grab drivers know the building, and you’re close enough to the airport that you don’t have to stress about traffic eating into your departure time (well, not as much as usual for Manila anyway). The building’s got decent security, which gave me peace of mind leaving my laptop and camera gear in the room during day trips. One small thing that bugged me was the elevator wait times during peak hours – apparently a lot of actual residents live in the tower, so you’re sharing with people coming home from work. But honestly, for the space and the price point, it’s a pretty solid choice if you want to feel like you’re living in Manila rather than just visiting it.

Reviews of Lotus Residence, Manila
Very Good – Hiroshi from Japan – September 8, 2025 (8/10)
There were few issues during our stay but still a very pleasant stay, beautiful unit and the owner – Eyen05 from United States – July 31, 2025 (9/10)
The property is very charming, with modern facilities, very very clean, has a beautiful view of the Mla bay and the town being at the top floor. The owner is very responsive to my questions and concerns. There is a big convenient store at the basement of the building. We were able to cook and do our laundry. I will not hesitate to rent the property in the future.
What could be improved: I was not warned about having no cell phone signal at the reception area, We have to go outside the bldg to get a signal or be at the top of the building. It was difficult to get in touch with the caretaker at the hotel but the owner gave me a specific instruction how to get in if the caretaker is not around so that fix the issue. Getting a taxi is also not easy because of the cell signal issue. The visitor policy is very strict allowing only 4 people in my unit, it is not favorable if you are a balikbayan having to see your family in the Phil. There was hold up during our check-out because the caretaker did not report to the front desk that we already gave him the money 1k to pay for the violation( my nephew pressing more than one buttons in the elevator). We assumed that the caretaker will take care of the payment.
