I mean, you’ve got the MRT literally minutes away, the airport’s a quick ride when you’re heading out, and if you want to hit up BGC or Makati, you’re not stuck in traffic for hours like you would be from some other parts of the city. The building itself feels secure (important when you’re not familiar with the area), and the staff actually remembers your face after a day or two. I had this moment where the front desk guy warned me about road construction that would affect my route to Intramuros – that’s the kind of local insight you just don’t get at big chain hotels. The pool area’s decent for what it is, nothing fancy but clean and refreshing after walking around Manila’s heat all day. One small thing – the water pressure in the shower could be better, but it’s not a dealbreaker. What really won me over was how the place strikes this balance between giving you hotel-level service and letting you feel like you’re actually living in Manila for a few days, not just passing through as a tourist.
