I mean, you’re still right in the thick of things – literally a few minutes’ walk to Greenbelt and all those fancy malls – but the hotel sits in San Antonio Village where things actually calm down a bit, especially at night.

The lobby has this clean, modern vibe that screams four-star efficiency without being stuffy about it. Check-in was surprisingly smooth (and I say surprising because, well, Manila traffic means you never know what mood you’ll be in when you finally arrive). The staff actually seemed to know what they were doing, which isn’t always a given. What I really appreciated was how the rooms manage to feel spacious even though you can tell they’ve maximized every square meter – there’s this clever use of mirrors and lighting that doesn’t make you feel like you’re in a shoebox. The beds are legitimately comfortable too, not just hotel-marketing comfortable, and the air conditioning works like a dream, which is crucial when you’re dealing with Manila’s humidity.

Here’s the thing about staying in this part of Makati – you get the best of both worlds without paying those ridiculous Ayala Avenue rates. You can walk to Century City Mall when you need groceries or just want decent food court options, and the whole Poblacion area with its hole-in-the-wall bars and restaurants is practically next door. The hotel’s restaurant is fine for breakfast (nothing spectacular, but it’ll fuel you for the day), though honestly, with places like Salcedo Saturday Market and all the street food around, you’d be missing out if you ate every meal there. Parking can get a bit tight during peak hours – just something to keep in mind if you’re driving around the city. Overall, it’s one of those hotels that just works, you know? Nothing flashy, but everything you need is there, the location makes sense, and you’re not breaking the bank to stay somewhere decent in one of Manila’s prime areas.

  What could be improved: Touch pad on the elevator was utterly frustrating. Breakfast choices were poor .. no FRESH milk and the " Fruit juice" sugary water. Toilet seat in my room was not secure..I mentioned it 4 times..no joy . Coffee machine worrked on my last day .. the area around the hotel is appalling no proper footpaths anywhere the TV was too small and terrible picture quality

  The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. We really like the location, close to the airport and also, within 25 minute drive of anywhere you would need to go! The view from the roof was exceptional! The gym was okay and the hotel was overall very clean! Breakfast was good! For the price, the breakfast and room were great!

  The coffee from the Cafe/restaurant downstairs was not good – think the staff need a little more training.

  The elevators smelt really bad – again , maybe we were just unlucky!
  There were signs advertising the rooftop bar/restaurant, we went up to a closed bar/restaurant apparently because there was rain however, there was no rain when we went up and they didn't re-open the whole time we were there – we found this strange.
