You get a proper kitchenette, which came in handy more than once when I wanted to avoid restaurant prices for simple meals. The Japanese management influence shows in small details – everything’s just… tidy and well-thought-out in a way that Filipino hospitality sometimes misses.

What really impressed me about this four-star setup is how they’ve managed to balance the apartment-living vibe with actual hotel services. The staff genuinely seems to care about getting things right, not just going through the motions. Check-in was smooth (though I’d recommend arriving after 3 PM to avoid any room-readiness issues), and they were surprisingly helpful with local recommendations that went beyond the usual tourist spots. The pool area is decent – nothing spectacular, but it’s clean and the views toward the bay are worth it, especially if you’re there during weekdays when it’s less crowded. I mean, weekends can get pretty busy with locals treating it like a day-use facility, but that’s true for most Manila hotels with pools.

The proximity to NAIA is another practical win – you’re maybe 15-20 minutes away depending on traffic, which in Manila terms is basically next door. Plus, being on this side of the metro means you can actually get around without dealing with the worst of EDSA traffic if you’re smart about timing. There’s something refreshing about staying somewhere that feels like you’re getting a slice of actual Manila life rather than being stuck in some isolated hotel bubble in Makati or BGC. Sure, it’s not the fanciest place you’ll ever stay, but it delivers exactly what it promises without any pretense, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need.
