When I first walked into Sojourn in S Residences, honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect from a serviced apartment setup in the middle of Pasay‘s business district. But you know what? This place completely changed my mind about staying somewhere that’s technically residential rather than a traditional hotel. The lobby feels more like stepping into a friend’s upscale condo building than your typical tourist accommodation, which I actually found refreshing after dealing with crowded hotel lobbies elsewhere in Metro Manila.

What really struck me about this four-star property is how quiet it manages to be despite being right in the Central Business Park area. I mean, you’re literally surrounded by office buildings and you’d think it would be all traffic noise and construction sounds, but the apartments are surprisingly well-insulated. My unit on the 15th floor had this massive window overlooking the city, and I could actually sleep in without being woken up by jeepneys honking at dawn – which, if you’ve spent any time in Manila, you’ll know is practically a miracle. The kitchen setup is what sold me though. I’m not talking about some tiny kitchenette with a broken microwave, but an actual functional space where you can cook real meals. After weeks of hotel breakfast buffets and restaurant food, being able to grab groceries from SM Mall of Asia (just a quick Grab ride away) and cook something simple was honestly liberating.

The staff here gets it – they give you space when you want it but they’re incredibly helpful when you need something. Check-in was smooth, none of that awkward hovering you sometimes get at boutique places. And here’s something I didn’t expect: the building’s gym is actually decent, not just three broken treadmills and some dusty weights. I found myself using it most mornings, which never happens when I travel. The location works really well if you’re doing business in the Pasay area or if you want easy access to NAIA without the premium airport hotel prices. You’re also close enough to Makati that a taxi or Grab doesn’t cost a fortune, but far enough from the main tourist chaos that you can actually relax. Sure, it’s not going to win any awards for historic charm or beachfront views, but sometimes what you want is a clean, comfortable space that feels more like temporarily living somewhere than just passing through. The 9.5 rating this place has makes complete sense to me – it delivers exactly what it promises without any pretense, and in a city where so many places overpromise and underdeliver, that’s actually pretty special.

  We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The host was incredibly accommodating, always easy to contact, and showed such a kind and patient heart throughout our entire stay. The place was amazing: very neat, clean, organized, had a really nice view and thoughtfully designed with an aesthetic that’s perfect for a relaxing vacation. The unit felt so comfortable and homey that we truly didn’t want to leave. We loved every moment of our stay here to the point that we wanted to extend another night. We are already looking forward to coming back again. Highly recommend! 🥰👏🏻
